    Fantastic Muay Thai trainers

My 18 year old son has been doing kick boxing for some time and wanted to experience an authentic 1-1 Muay Thai training session. The instructor was fantastic, pushing him hard but helping him recover when the heat got too much. I also saw some less experienced people having their training as well. I am sure we shall be back for another session before we have to leave!

A Great Muay Thai Private Lesson Experience

19th July 2026 - After going to the Rajadamnern Stadium in Bangkok to watch the Muay Thai fighting it inspired my 20 year old son to book a one-off private Muay Thai lesson at the Punch It Muay Thai Gym in Koh Samui. Booking was really easy on-line. You can look through a list of coaches with a small write-up and pick which one you feel is best suited to you. Having never done Muay Thai before my son thoroughly enjoyed this experience and thought his coach (Kru Boy) was great. Whether wanting to book a longer Muay Thai boot camp or for a one off lesson / group lesson my son would highly recommend Punch It Muay Thai Gym.

    Muay Thai experience

I enjoyed the lesson and found it to be a good introduction to Muay Thai. There were many people training with lots of different levels of experience.

    Great experience

Amazing experience at the Punch it Gym. Ton was a great trainer. Also, I really liked the clothes shop and the coffe shop facing the training area.

Great Muay Thai Experience in Koh Samui

The coach was nice and encouraging. Since it was my first time engaging in this activity, the coach was patient and not harsh, which was greatly appreciated. I will definitely come back or at least continue doing this activity in my country. Thank you!

MuayThai Private lesson: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Koh Samui.

How much does MuayThai Private lesson cost?

    +

Prices start at $37 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Koh Samui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does MuayThai Private lesson take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Koh Samui is not rushed.

Is MuayThai Private lesson worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Koh Samui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule MuayThai Private lesson?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is MuayThai Private lesson suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book MuayThai Private lesson?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Koh Samui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Koh Samui and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does MuayThai Private lesson start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Koh Samui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Koh Samui?

    +

On Outty we rank every Koh Samui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angthong National Marine Park VIP Small Group Tour, Cooking Class in Koh Samui with Micro Organic Garden, Half Day Elephant Home Sanctuary in Samui. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Koh Samui?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Koh Samui?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
