A Fantastic Adventure from Nairobi
Our group of friends had a wonderful time on this trip. We wanted something active but also different from the usual sightseeing, and this trip gave us exactly that combination. The hike up Mt. Longonot was challenging in a good way, and the scenery along the trail made every step worthwhile. We enjoyed stopping occasionally to catch our breath, take pictures and admire the views. Our guide was encouraging and made sure everyone in our group stayed together. After the hike, the boat ride on Lake Naivasha provided a completely different experience. It was peaceful being out on the water and seeing the lake from another perspective. The contrast between the energetic hike and relaxing boat ride made the day feel complete. We laughed throughout the trip and came back to Nairobi with plenty of memorable photos.

A Memorable Family Day Out
We booked the this Day Trip from Nairobi as a family and really enjoyed having two very different activities in one day. The children were excited about the adventure, while the adults appreciated the beautiful scenery and opportunity to spend quality time together. The Mt. Longonot section was definitely the more active part of the day. Our guide was patient and encouraging, allowing us to maintain a comfortable pace. We enjoyed learning about the landscape and taking breaks to appreciate the views. The Lake Naivasha boat ride was a wonderful way to slow things down after the hike. We enjoyed watching birds and looking across the water while our guide explained some of the sights around the lake. Day 2 Day Tours and Safaris made the experience feel organized without making the day feel rushed. It was a lovely family adventure that gave us stories to talk about long after returning home.

+

How far in advance should I book Mt. Longonot Hike & Lake Naivasha Boat Ride Day Trip from Nairobi?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Nairobi?
+
On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 days group joining safari to Maasai Mara with a Land Cruiser Jeep, 1 Day trip to Hells Gate and optional Lake Naivasha From Nairobi, Nairobi Masai village Day Tour Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nairobi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nairobi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
