An incredible team and an unforgettable climb.
The group tour I signed up for ended up being a solo trip due to last minute cancellations. However, this gave me great flexibility with the itinerary and a perfect opportunity to get to know the team. I felt safe, respected and taken care of as a female solo traveller. The whole trip felt seamless. Amnaay, the mountain guide, was instrumental to my successful summit - he was knowledgable and professional. The meals provided every day were freshly prepared and delicious. The team of porters amazed me every day with their physical abilities and joyful spirit. Bonding with the team was a highlight of the trip - not a day went by without someone bursting into a belly laugh! I also stayed at the Kibo View Farm before and after the climb, which was a little slice of heaven. I would highly recommend Nyange Adventures for their local expertise and fair treatment of porters.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We’re truly grateful that you chose Nyange Adventures and that you felt safe, respected, and well cared for throughout your journey as a solo traveler. It means a lot to hear how Amnaay and the whole team supported you to reach the summit and that the porters’ strength and positive spirit made such a lasting impression. We’re especially happy that the connections and laughter you shared became a highlight of your trip. Thank you as well for staying at Kibo View Farm and for recommending us. We’d be honored to welcome you back anytime.

A personal goal achieved thanks to the guidance and support received from the Nyange Adventures team.
At age 73 I successfully completed the ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro, via the Lemosho route, a week ago today. Throughout the eight day trek and the final ascent to Uhuru Peak I was impressed by the guidance and support received at all times from the entire Nyange Adventures team. The guides, Mo and Colin, the cook, the waiter and the fantastic team of porters that accompanied me made my success possible, and I would therefore not hesitate to recommend Nyange Adventures to anyone considering the experience of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Response from the operator: Congratulations on this incredible achievement, and thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. Reaching Uhuru Peak at 73 via the Lemosho Route is truly inspiring. We’re deeply grateful for your kind words about Mo, Colin, and the entire Nyange Adventures team. They’ll be proud to know they played a part in your success. Thank you for trusting us with such a meaningful journey and for your strong recommendation. It was an honor to support you on this unforgettable climb.

Best team ever!
I can honestly say that this was one of the best experiences I have ever had traveling. It was made special because of the amazing people who supported our trek up Kily- from our awesome guides, Amnaay and Musa, to Oscar, our chef, who prepared delicious meals to Steve, our waiter, who ensured all of our needs were met to Mohammed who ensured our tents and sleeping quarters were up to snuff and ever porter who supported our hike. Everyday I looked forward to seeing our team on the mountain, they always had smiles on their faces and were cheering us along the way. We became family as we shared time together and I learned to trust my team. Nyange Adventures is top notch and I highly recommend Nyange for your trek up Kily!

Made it with Nyange!
My son and I just reached the summit on the 8 day Lemosho climb with the fabulous crew of Nyange. Special shout out to our guide Amnaay and the assistant guide Henry, without whom we would not have succeeded. On summit day, they carried our day packs, kept us at a steady pace (believe me, that is a good thing), when at several points I was ready to give up. We were one of the first ones to get there just in time to watch to most glorious sunrise. Then, they pretty much held on to us on the rapid and harrowing decent. I found Nyange hightly recommened in Stedman's book. It is a small local outfit that supports KPAP. The owner, who was once a porter, even came to say hi to us during our last day in Moshi. There are lots of operators, a couple of them had huge groups of trekkers, and I am sure they all do a fine job, but I chose to go with a local company and I am so glad I did. And, don't let anyone tell you Kilimanjaro is easy. It was very, very hard!

Mt Kilimanjaro Climb - 8 days Lemosho: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moshi.
How much does Mt Kilimanjaro Climb - 8 days Lemosho cost?
+
Prices start at $3,500 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mt Kilimanjaro Climb - 8 days Lemosho take?
+
Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Moshi is not rushed.
Is Mt Kilimanjaro Climb - 8 days Lemosho worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mt Kilimanjaro Climb - 8 days Lemosho?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Mt Kilimanjaro Climb - 8 days Lemosho suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 192-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Mt Kilimanjaro Climb - 8 days Lemosho?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mt Kilimanjaro Climb - 8 days Lemosho start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Moshi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Moshi?
+
On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Plantation Half Day Tour, Kilimanjaro climb, Machame Route (7-day). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Moshi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Moshi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
