Tour delay and pick up changed.
Our tour was delayed almost an hour due to change in guide. Then when called they changed the pick up location and we couldn't find it. We needed to use a local stranger to interpret for us to find our driver Very Stressful!
Response from the operator: We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected accident involving your original guide, we had to make a last-minute change, which caused the delay and confusion with the meeting point. We understand this was stressful and truly regret the situation. Our team acted quickly to minimize the disruption and start your tour as soon as possible, and we hope that despite the difficult start, you were able to enjoy the experience with your new guide. Thank you for choosing Karavan Travel.

No specific instructions as to where to meet. Only “Galataport” which is huge.
They didn’t tell us where at the part we should meet. It’s a huge port. We waited where the busses pick up but finally we got instructions to meet outside the port. The guide however was excellent.
Response from the operator: We are truly sorry for the confusion and stress you experienced at the port. Normally, your original guide would have met you and directed you clearly on where to go, but due to the unfortunate accident that morning, we had to make an urgent change to ensure your tour could still take place. We did our best to act quickly so that your tour could start as soon as possible. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour with your new guide. Please know that we deeply regret the inconvenience caused by circumstances beyond our control. Thank you for choosing Karavan Travel, and we hope to welcome you again in the future.

Morning in Istanbul before our cruise
Our tour turned into a private tour as we were the only guests. How lucky we were! Fatma met us at our hotel as scheduled. We hopped on the tram to Hagia Sophia. Tapped on with our credit cards and off we went. The three major stops, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Hippodrome were all in the same general area. Fatma was knowledgeable about the locations. We walked to the Spice Market and spent about 30 minutes there. That was enough time to make a few purchases. Don't hesitate to ask for a better price on whatever you are looking at. Or just keep walking. She escorted us back to our hotel on the tram and wished us a great vacation. We would highly recommend this excursion.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review and for joining our Morning Istanbul: Half-Day Tour. We’re truly delighted to hear that you had a wonderful experience and that Fatma made your morning in Istanbul special. It’s always a pleasure when guests leave feeling satisfied, and your thoughtful feedback means a lot to our team. We’re especially glad to know the personalized experience, local insights, and smooth logistics added value to your visit. Wishing you an amazing cruise and unforgettable travels ahead! We hope to welcome you again in the future. Warm regards,

Morning Istanbul: Half-Day Tour with Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome and Grand Bazaar: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Istanbul.
How much does Morning Istanbul: Half-Day Tour with Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome and Grand Bazaar cost?
+
Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Istanbul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Morning Istanbul: Half-Day Tour with Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome and Grand Bazaar take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Istanbul is not rushed.
Is Morning Istanbul: Half-Day Tour with Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome and Grand Bazaar worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 103 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Istanbul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Morning Istanbul: Half-Day Tour with Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome and Grand Bazaar?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Morning Istanbul: Half-Day Tour with Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome and Grand Bazaar suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Morning Istanbul: Half-Day Tour with Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome and Grand Bazaar?
+
Around 36 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Istanbul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Istanbul and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Morning Istanbul: Half-Day Tour with Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome and Grand Bazaar start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Istanbul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Istanbul?
+
On Outty we rank every Istanbul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour, Istanbul Luxury Bosphorus Yacht Cruise with Asian Side Stop, ISTANBUL BEST: Iconic Landmarks Full Day PRIVATE Guided City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Istanbul?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Istanbul?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
