This experience allows us to select exclusive safari areas and plan routes based on moose activity, seasonal behaviour, and local conditions. Unlike standard sightseeing drives, we focus on maximizing wildlife viewing opportunities. Our routes avoid heavily visited areas, leading to quieter locations with less disturbance and better chances of wildlife encounters. Despite their impressive size, moose are surprisingly difficult to find. Spotting one requires local knowledge, patience, and timing. Our guides use their understanding of moose behaviour and local conditions to provide the best possible opportunity for sightings. If a moose is found, we observe it respectfully from a safe distance using binoculars. Designed for small groups, this calm and sustainable safari offers an authentic way to experience Lapland’s wildlife and nature.

Great Guide, Amazing Experience
Our safari with Lapland Welcome exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Utsav, was incredibly passionate, professional, and friendly. He never gave up and, thanks to his determination, we were lucky enough to see moose in the wild. A fantastic experience that we would happily do again, especially for those who prefer the comfort of a van safari. The only downside was the van's tinted windows and the inability to open the side windows, which made wildlife photography more difficult.

Nice Tour
It was a pleasent experience, our Guide Utsav was great and to top it all of we also actually saw a moose!

Difficult experience
I’m sorry to say we had an unpleasant experience on the moose safari adventure. The guide/owner Veli, worked hard to help us see moose but we were very uncomfortable with how rudely he treated staff member, Zuzana, and interacted with guests. This lovely young woman who transported us, tried very hard to compensate for the negative experience we had. As a result of his behavior, we cancelled a second excursion we had booked with the company. I would not recommend spending money on this excursion with this particular guide. It was not at all typical of the interactions we’ve had with Finnish people.
