The food tour was...
The food tour was fantastic, the variety of food you get to try was great, you learn a lot about the city and the neighborhoods you walk though. Shout out to our tour guide Stephanie, she was fantastic!! Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: We’re grateful for your feedback. It’s encouraging to hear the experience felt smooth, enjoyable, and memorable from start to finish. We hope to see you again through Secret Food Tours!

Tasty food tour with a fun guide.
Great Guide - Connor was engaging, knowledgeable and easy to be with. Food choices were all great. Walk was nice - but good to know in advance that you end a mile or so from where you started (it is not a loop back to the start). Tacos were amazing, all the food items were great. 5 stops (the 'secret stop' is for if one of the others is closed). Would do again and recommend.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking a moment to share your thoughts. We’re glad the tour gave you a good look at the local food scene. You’re always welcome to explore another Secret Food Tours anywhere you travel!

Full, but unsatisfied on Anywhere, USA tour
The food was fine, but hardly reflected Minneapolis. Tacos at a modern food court? Pizza that could have been from anywhere USA? Cheese curds (yes!) but at an upscale sports bar? Ice cream from a pleasant, but hardly special shop (or flavors)? The ONLY thing we had that met my expectations of “secret” or authentic Minnesotan fare were the pierogis from an old Polish deli. That said, Conor was an engaging and entertaining guide; the other guests were a lot of fun; and the walk was pleasant. It did not, however, offer any insights into regional cuisine or reveal any local “secrets”. The venues and menu items (save for the deli and pierogis) were unremarkable and unreflective. At the end of the tour, I was full but unsatisfied.
Response from the operator: Hi Skye, thank you for sharing your thoughts. Our food selections are curated to highlight dishes and venues that are genuinely embraced by people who live in Minneapolis today. The North Loop has become a gathering spot for locals, and many of the stops on the tour reflect what Minnesotans choose when they go out to eat with friends or after work. Guests often mention in their reviews that they enjoy discovering these places because they get a real feel for what the city’s food scene looks like right now. Alongside that historic flavor, the modern tastings show how local food culture continues to evolve. That mix of past and present is something many guests appreciate when joining us in Minneapolis. Still, we’re grateful you pointed out the enjoyable parts of the experience including the walk, the group dynamic, and Connor’s hosting. If you decide to explore another tour with us in the future, we’d be happy to welcome you again and help you find the one that best matches the culinary focus you’re searching for. If you’d like to discuss this further, don’t hesitate to contact us at info@secrettours.com.

Tasty but disappointing
While Connor was a great guy, the tour was disorganized. None of the restaurants knew we were coming, portions were extremely limited, and we walked over a mile for one of our visits. Additionally, the tour said we would have six stops, but we only had four. On food tours we are used to learning more about the city and the restaurants that we are visiting. Unfortunately we did not learn much about either.
Response from the operator: Hi Genelle, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. It’s great to hear that you enjoyed having Connor as your guide. Guests often comment on how easy he is to connect with and how he makes the tour feel relaxed and enjoyable, so he’ll be glad to know that part of your day was a highlight. The walking portion of the tour is designed to show guests different sides of the neighborhood. Many reviews mention that they enjoyed discovering places they never would have found on their own and appreciated seeing more of the North Loop between tastings. We understand that not everyone prefers the same amount of walking, and that is something we continue to keep in mind as we refine the experience. Your thoughts about learning more about the area and the restaurants have also been shared with the team. Storytelling and local insight are a big part of why guests choose this tour, and other guests have mentioned that they enjoy the history and background woven into the stops. We want every guest to feel that sense of connection to the city and its food scene. Still, we thank you again for writing your review and for joining us on the Minneapolis food tour. We appreciate honest feedback and will continue working to ensure every guest has a smooth and fulfilling experience. If you decide to explore another city or join us again in Minneapolis, we’d be happy to welcome you back. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’d like to discuss your experience further or if you have any other questions at info@secrettours.com.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Minneapolis-Saint Paul.
How much does Minneapolis North Loop Food Tour of 6 Local's Favorites Tastings cost?

How long does Minneapolis North Loop Food Tour of 6 Local's Favorites Tastings take?
+

Is Minneapolis North Loop Food Tour of 6 Local's Favorites Tastings worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Minneapolis North Loop Food Tour of 6 Local's Favorites Tastings?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Minneapolis North Loop Food Tour of 6 Local's Favorites Tastings suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book Minneapolis North Loop Food Tour of 6 Local's Favorites Tastings?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Minneapolis-Saint Paul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Minneapolis-Saint Paul and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Minneapolis-Saint Paul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Minneapolis-Saint Paul?
+
The Twin Cities cover Mississippi mill district history, chain of lakes bike and paddle tours, Mall of America trips, brewery crawls in Northeast and winter ice experiences. Seasonal swing is extreme, so honest weather guidance matters. On Outty we rank every Minneapolis-Saint Paul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Escape Game: Epic 60-Minute Adventures at the Mall of America, Narrated Scenic Tour on the Minneapolis Trolley, St. Paul Historic Cave Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Minneapolis-Saint Paul?
+
June to September, with winter activities from December to February. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Minneapolis-Saint Paul?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
