Beautiful comfortable...

Beautiful comfortable experience under the stars on a large sand dune we largely had to ourselves. Camel ride was such a unique experience! Food was delicious, guides took care of everything, thank you!

One night desert safari ❤️

The whole experience was amazing with James as the guide and Durga as the camel guide. Both were very hospitable and made the desert safari one of the most memorable times of our India trip. On top of all of that, the food was tasty as we enjoyed at the clear night sky of the desert. I would definitely recommend this as a must do experience.

Response from the operator: Dear Curious, Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience! We’re thrilled to hear that James and Durga made your desert safari such a memorable highlight of your trip to India. Their hospitality and dedication to creating unforgettable moments truly shine, and they will be delighted to hear your kind words. It’s fantastic to know you enjoyed the delicious food and the magical experience of dining under the clear desert night sky – it’s one of the most special parts of the safari! We’re so grateful for your recommendation and are glad we could be part of your journey. We hope to welcome you back for more incredible adventures in the future! Warm regards, Ashraf

Wonderful Desert Safari

We spent an amazing day and night in the desert with James (our guide) and Umed (the camel man) ! We had the surprise to be only two of us with no other people so it was like a private safari. We visited a ghost village, an oasis and 1 hour camel ride to our camp for the night where James was waiting for us with good chaï and delicious diner. We would recommend Mystic Jaisalmer without any hesitation. Thanks James and Umed for the good memories we bring with us in France !

Amazing desert camel safari

Amazing experience in the desert with our guide James and our camel man Umed. We started our jeep tour with a visit of abandoned village, water oasis and then camel ride to reach the camp. We enjoyed sunset, a very nice dinner and slept in a comfortable bed open sky with a billion stars view ! In the morning we enjoyed sunrise, breakfast and went back on the camel and then to Jaisalmer. We could enjoy a nice shower to start another wonderful day in India !

Great guides and super memorable

Favorite part of my India trip so far! Guides Asif and Ummed were great, and James was very helpful organizing the trip. There was plenty of food, the beds were comfortable enough and warm, and the stars were amazing. Would highly recommend if you come through Jaisalmer.

Million Stars Experience - Desert Camp & Stargazing in Jaisalmer: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jaisalmer.

How much does Million Stars Experience - Desert Camp & Stargazing in Jaisalmer cost?

+

Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jaisalmer usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Million Stars Experience - Desert Camp & Stargazing in Jaisalmer take?

+

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jaisalmer is not rushed.

Is Million Stars Experience - Desert Camp & Stargazing in Jaisalmer worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 54 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Jaisalmer, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Million Stars Experience - Desert Camp & Stargazing in Jaisalmer?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Million Stars Experience - Desert Camp & Stargazing in Jaisalmer suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 48-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Million Stars Experience - Desert Camp & Stargazing in Jaisalmer?

+

Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jaisalmer can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jaisalmer and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Million Stars Experience - Desert Camp & Stargazing in Jaisalmer start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jaisalmer within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Jaisalmer?

+

On Outty we rank every Jaisalmer experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Overnight Camel Safari - Sleeping under the Stars, Adventure non touristic camel safari, Non-Touristic overnight Camel Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Jaisalmer?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Jaisalmer?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
