Tour of Komani Lake, Valbona Valley & Theth in Three Days

We took a tour with Choose Balkans at the beginning of September 2018. We stayed in Choose Balkans apartments in Tirana the day we arrived and the day we got back from the tour which I would recommend. We got picked up from the apartment at 5am on Saturday Morning by Andi and Armando in a Land Rover who took us up to the Koman lake. The boat ride through the mountains was beautiful. We stayed in a very nice guest house/lodge in Valbonë organised by Choose Balkans. We went on a short hike that day to explore Valboné, and the next day hiked to Theth. The hike lasted for about 7-8 hours with a few short breaks to eat and drink. The hike was really enjoyable and suitable for intermediate hikers. It was some of the best scenery I have seen before. We also hiked to the Theth waterfall when we arrived. We stayed in Theth at guesthouse harusha which was really nice and had good home cooked food. We went a bit off book on the way back to Tirana. Normally you stop in Shkoder for lunch, but we took a quick stop in Shkoder and then headed over to a very nice farm-based restaurant called Mrizi i zanave which I really recommend. The food was very unique - based on traditional Albanian food, but with a modern twist! Andi and Armando were amazing tour guides - very friendly, informative and easy to get along with! Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend the company and service to everyone!

Response from the operator: Thank you for nice words in your review Mike. Was our pleasure to assist you during your stay in Albania an making it and amazing experience. We hope to see you back again in other adventures. Best regards from all Choose Balkans Team.

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Corfu and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Corfu?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Corfu?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
