About this experience

Join me for a highly exclusive special edition of my five-star reviewed small-group tour. We’ll travel through the local countryside in my Mercedes V-Class, visiting Diddly Squat Farm Shop, The Farmer’s Dog, Hawkstone Brewery, familiar filming locations and some of the Cotswold villages and countryside that most visitors would never discover on their own. Later in the day, we’ll head to a traditional local pub, where a private room has been booked exclusively for our small group. Dilwyn Evans himself will join us there for a relaxed drink and informal conversation. Guests will have between one hour and an hour and a half with Dilwyn, with plenty of time to ask questions, hear about his life and experiences as a vet and take photographs with him. This is not a rushed public appearance or a brief meet-and-greet. It is a private, relaxed and highly exclusive experience limited to seven guests and available only through Chipping Norton Tours.

Meet Simon outside the ticket office at Moreton-in-Marsh Railway Station at 10:20, ready for departure at 10:30. 2. Diddly Squat Farm Shop

Visit Diddly Squat Farm Shop, one of the best-known locations featured throughout Clarkson’s Farm. There will be time to explore the farm shop area, take photographs beside the familiar signs and enjoy the surrounding countryside. Food and drinks are normally available from the outdoor facilities. Because queues can be extremely long, entry into the shop itself cannot be guaranteed. When the queue is unreasonable, we concentrate on the outdoor area, photographs and the wider experience rather than spending a large part of the tour waiting in line.

  3. Chadlington

Explore the countryside around Chadlington and the real farming area connected with the programme. Depending on conditions and the route chosen on the day, this may include a relaxed countryside walk of approximately 30 minutes. Along the way, Simon will show you selected locations connected with Clarkson’s Farm, together with some carefully chosen surprise stops. Not every location is advertised publicly. The exact route may vary according to the season, local conditions, venue availability and what is happening in the area on the day. This flexibility is part of the experience and allows Simon to show guests places that most visitors would never discover independently.

Visit The Farmer’s Dog, Jeremy Clarkson’s Cotswold pub featured in Clarkson’s Farm. Guests can enjoy the atmosphere, have a drink and explore the Grand Tour Tent area, where food, drinks and produce are available. The exact route varies but may include well-known places such as Burford or Bourton-on-the-Water when timing, traffic and the pace of the day allow. These should be regarded as possible additions rather than guaranteed individual stops.

Meet Dilwyn Evans the Vet: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oxford.

How much does Meet Dilwyn Evans the Vet cost?

+

Prices start at $310 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oxford usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Meet Dilwyn Evans the Vet take?

+

Plan for about 7.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oxford is not rushed.

Is Meet Dilwyn Evans the Vet worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (0/5 across 0 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Oxford, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Meet Dilwyn Evans the Vet?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Meet Dilwyn Evans the Vet suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7.5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Meet Dilwyn Evans the Vet?

+

Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oxford can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oxford and add a light layer if any part of the 7.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Meet Dilwyn Evans the Vet start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oxford within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Oxford?

+

On Outty we rank every Oxford experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cotswolds in a Day Tour from Moreton-in-Marsh / Stratford-on-Avon, Oxford University Walking Tour With University Alumni Guide, Oxford Official University & City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Oxford?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Oxford?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
