Wonderful Bordeaux wine experience
Great day of Wine Tasting in beautiful country. The three wineries were quite distinct in size and character, all of them very interesting and the wines were all nice. Our guide, Gaspard, was always friendly and helpful, with a good amount of knowledge and excellent English. Very enjoyable and rewarding experience overall. Highly recommended.

No Regrets!
For starters, both my husband and I have nothing but positive things to share about our experience and we were beyond pleased with our guide Alex. I am often skeptical when I see reviews like this, but please rest assure that our review is genuine AND you will not regret choosing a tour with Bordeaux Wine Trails. We made the decision to book a private half day tour to Medoc. For context, we have done wine tours in many countries and within the US, and hail from WA State with our own wine regions. We have also done group and private tours, and can without a doubt say that private is the way to go especially to cater your experience. From our initial inquiry to the finalization of itinerary we had clear communication and follow up. We found it helpful to share what we were hoping for overall and what we both like, as this tour would be the first of two private tours for us so we would understand comparisons of left bank vs right bank. As such, Bordeaux Wine Trails was able to select and cater to our desire to learn. Each chateau selected had wonderful staff both knowledgeable about the wine and region, but also the history which kept my husband’s interest as a history buff and took into account his love of construction and architecture with a mix of old and new. They answered questions and overall created an educational and fun experience that was a great balance. The wine was also superb. Alex, our guide, enhanced our understanding of wine and he and my husband went back and forth with history and anecdotes throughout the trip and ride between chateaus with ease. This ultimately created an environment that felt like hanging with an old friend versus someone we just met. I will also mention that as someone who can get motion sickness, the driving and attention to driving safety were excellent and I had no issues. Overall, we would highly recommend the tour and even more so make the case for considering private. While it is more pricey than a group tour, the level of attention and ease is what we love when traveling, and Bordeaux Wine Trails delivered. You will not be disappointed. Spend the money, drink the wine and enjoy!
