Avoid this company!!! Guide did not show up.
The guide did not show up to start the tour. No one tried to contact me to tell me of any delay. No ne answers the telephone when I called the tour company. SO AVOID THIS TOUR COMPANY. Since this was supposed to be a whole day tour, I have lost the day to go on some other tour.

Disappointing Medoc wine tour
This Medoc wine tour was a huge disappointment, though we loved wandering through the region full of so many iconic wineries. And Benjamin, our guide/driver, was excellent. My complaint is what was promised and what we received. I booked this excursion around April 20th. It promised three chateau stops for wine tasting, and a picnic lunch. We received two wine tastings, and we driven to a restaurant in Pauillac where we paid for our lunch. We did have cheese and bread at the first chateau stop in late morning. But that is not a lunch. Also, the wines we tasted were very average. I was hoping to buy some wine for an upcoming week with our daughter and husband. Nothing was good enough to buy. Both my wife and sister-in-law agreed. Also, the first chateau tasting included one rose, three whites, and three reds. I did not book a Medoc wine tour to drink white wines. This is not the Loire Valley. Yes, it was a Sunday and a lot of wineries were not open. This is no excuse for what we did not receive. We paid full price, plus the cost of lunch.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for sharing your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your Médoc experience didn’t meet your expectations, even though we’re glad you enjoyed the region and appreciated the service provided by Benjamin, your driver-guide. We would like to clarify a few points regarding the tour: Firstly, the Médoc wine region has evolved significantly in recent years, and white wines are now commonly produced and tasted in several châteaux as part of the complete experience. While red wines remain the signature of the Médoc, many estates are proud to showcase their full range, and this includes whites and rosés — which are often served to offer a more diverse tasting experience. Secondly, regarding the number of châteaux visits, we clearly mention during the booking process and in our communication that the schedule may vary depending on the day and availability, especially on Sundays, when many wineries are closed or have limited visiting hours. For your tour, we included Château La Loudenne, which is a beautiful estate but also quite far north in the Médoc. This longer drive limited the possibility to include a third château without significantly reducing the time spent at each stop — and we prioritize quality and comfort over rushing through visits. While we regret that you did not find the wines suited to your taste, we truly value your feedback and take it into consideration to continue improving our services. Kind regards, Customer Experience Team – Wikitour Bordeaux

Excellent Experience
I happened to be the only person signing up, so it (unexpectedly) became a private tour. The guide is very helpful and informative, and the wine tasting experience is excellent. We visited three chateaus and had a great interactions with the representatives. I had plenty of time exploring and tasting without being rushed. Overall, I will recommend this to other visitors.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We're delighted you had such a wonderful experience on your Médoc wine tour. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the private feel of the day, the châteaux visits, and the time spent with the estate teams. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we’d be happy to welcome you again for another wine adventure in Bordeaux! 🍷✨

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Medoc 1855 Individual Full Day Wine Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bordeaux.
How much does Medoc 1855 Individual Full Day Wine Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $124 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bordeaux usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Medoc 1855 Individual Full Day Wine Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bordeaux is not rushed.
Is Medoc 1855 Individual Full Day Wine Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.6/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bordeaux, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Medoc 1855 Individual Full Day Wine Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Medoc 1855 Individual Full Day Wine Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Medoc 1855 Individual Full Day Wine Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bordeaux can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bordeaux and add a light layer if any part of the 8.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Medoc 1855 Individual Full Day Wine Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bordeaux within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bordeaux?
+
On Outty we rank every Bordeaux experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Saint-Emilion Electric Bike Day Tour with Wine Tastings & Lunch, Saint-Émilion Afternoon Tour - 2 Grand crus & French apéritif, "Bordeaux by bicycle: a 3-hour tour immersive experience". The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bordeaux?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bordeaux?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
