Mountain bike virgins
It was awesome! Not sure what we expected maybe not a mountain bike trail before wine ! However, it was fantastic! First time mountain bike riders 😆Ian was an amazing guide/instructor tailoring the trip to our ability without taking out the adrenaline rush! The platter and wine at Gemtree was outstanding! Both wineries were great. All in all a fantastic day - many thanks Ian and would highly recommend
Response from the operator: thanks So much for your review! Cheers, Ian

Amazing fun with Lee
A great day out. Pick up was easy, bikes were in great condition. Lee our tour guide was awesome, good fun and knew his stuff both about biking and wine. We visited some stunning small scale wineries which was a real treat and much nicer than heading to the brand name places in the Barossa. We got to chat with some amazing winemakers. He even changed the tour for our small group of 5 as we all.loved our reds. Would definitely recommend to friends.
Response from the operator: Thanks for the review Rachel! Cheers, Ian

Scenic, relaxing ride with views and wine tasting
Had a fantastic day out. Great scenery, lovely riding, saw some wildlife and then enjoyed a scenic wine tasting lunch. Also found an ice cream at the orchard to finish the day

Outstanding day tour on a bike with stunning views, amazing food and wines.
Ian was outstanding, informative, encouraging, relaxed and fun. The bikes were excellent. The riding was perfect for a wine tour. The winery's we visited were outstanding and very welcoming. This tour was a highlight of our trip to Adelaide. Thank you Ian for an amazing day. Brad and Linda.

Great Experience - would go again!
Really enjoyed our ride. Everything was very professional from being picked up, having good bikes and a guide who showed us some amazing spots. It can be tough managing people of varying abilities but Ian did a fine job. The lunch spot and the wineries were all good and very well planned. We opted for Goodieson Brewery as the last stop and boy was their beer good! The Brown Ale was my favorite. Highly recommend if in Adelaide for a few days.
Response from the operator: Glad you had a great day! Cheers!

Why this scores 81
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
McLaren Vale Wine Tour by E-Bike (Private & Small Group): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Adelaide.
How much does McLaren Vale Wine Tour by E-Bike (Private & Small Group) cost?
+
Prices start at $250 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Adelaide usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does McLaren Vale Wine Tour by E-Bike (Private & Small Group) take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Adelaide is not rushed.
Is McLaren Vale Wine Tour by E-Bike (Private & Small Group) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 155 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Adelaide, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule McLaren Vale Wine Tour by E-Bike (Private & Small Group)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is McLaren Vale Wine Tour by E-Bike (Private & Small Group) suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book McLaren Vale Wine Tour by E-Bike (Private & Small Group)?
+
Around 54 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Adelaide can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Adelaide and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does McLaren Vale Wine Tour by E-Bike (Private & Small Group) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Adelaide within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Adelaide?
+
On Outty we rank every Adelaide experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Barossa Small Group Tour: Wine tasting, Lunch & Chocolate, Discover Barossa: 4 Wine Tastings, Gourmet Lunch, and Hidden Gems, Adelaide Highlights, Hahndorf & McLaren Vale Wine Tasting and Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Adelaide?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Adelaide?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
