Excellent day out
We had a wonderful day exploring McLaren Vale with Small Batch Wine Tours. Our guide and driver, Craig, was outstanding, friendly, knowledgeable, and helped make the day both enjoyable and relaxing. The van was extremely comfortable, and the itinerary provided a great mix of excellent wineries and delicious food. We were also fortunate to have beautiful autumn weather, which made the stunning vineyard landscapes and seasonal colours even more memorable. A fantastic way to experience the region, and highly recommended

Amazing day! Highly recommend
From the moment Tom picked us up in Adelaide we knew we would have an amazing day. Tom's extremely knowledgeable but isn't a nonstop talker. He quickly discovered what interested us most and provided great information. We toured 4 wineries and were treated to a fabulous lunch. We've done multiple wine tours in NZ and Australia on our trip and this was by far our favorite!
Response from the operator: McLaren Vale is an absolute hidden gem and yo managed to discover some of our most highly regarded wineries on your day with us. Tom is a fabulous guide and an absolute gentleman, we're very proud having him as part of our team. Thanks very much for the top review - best wine tour in Australiasia BY FAR - Amazing!

A Fantastic Wine Tour
I’ve done a few wine tours over the years, and this was one of the best. Our driver/guide Tom, did a terrific job of explaining the day’s itinerary, and provided commentary and answered our questions during the drive. My tour included stops at four wineries: Yangarra, Wirra Wirra, D’Arenberg (along with a visit to the cube and exceptional Salvadore Dali Exhibit) and Samuel’s Gorge. All of the hosts were excellent and explained their process and the nuances of each of their wines. A fantastic day! Thank you! Lorraine G
Response from the operator: So very happy to hear your day worked out so well Lorraine! Juggling a couple of different winery requests on the day meant Lorraine departed the tour to head to the d'Arenberg Cube for a couple of hours while the rest of the group headed off to a few smaller boutique wineries before meeting back up again. To then hear that it was one of the best tours you've been on means a lot - thanks for the great feedback!

McLaren Vale Wine Tour - Max 6 guests with restaurant lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Adelaide.
How much does McLaren Vale Wine Tour - Max 6 guests with restaurant lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $380 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Adelaide usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does McLaren Vale Wine Tour - Max 6 guests with restaurant lunch take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Adelaide is not rushed.
Is McLaren Vale Wine Tour - Max 6 guests with restaurant lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Adelaide, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule McLaren Vale Wine Tour - Max 6 guests with restaurant lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is McLaren Vale Wine Tour - Max 6 guests with restaurant lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book McLaren Vale Wine Tour - Max 6 guests with restaurant lunch?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Adelaide can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Adelaide and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does McLaren Vale Wine Tour - Max 6 guests with restaurant lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Adelaide within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Adelaide?
+
On Outty we rank every Adelaide experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Barossa Small Group Tour: Wine tasting, Lunch & Chocolate, Discover Barossa: 4 Wine Tastings, Gourmet Lunch, and Hidden Gems, Adelaide Highlights, Hahndorf & McLaren Vale Wine Tasting and Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Adelaide?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Adelaide?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
