Perfect Day on Pride of Maui
Outstanding tour from start to finish. The boat is spacious and comfortable, the crew is professional and genuinely kind, and both snorkel stops were excellent. Molokini was crystal clear with great visibility, lots of fish, and that unique crater setting you can’t get anywhere else. Turtle Town delivered too — we saw Hawaiian green sea turtles in the water and from the boat. Breakfast, lunch, and the open bar were all solid. What really set this trip apart was how the crew treated my wife. She had motion issues on the way out, and they were immediately attentive and kind — no rush, no attitude, just real care. That made the whole day possible for her instead of miserable. We never felt like just another group on the boat. Easy check-in at Maʻalaea, good safety briefing, help with gear, and a crew that actually stays engaged the whole time. If you’re looking for a Molokini and Turtle Town snorkel, book Pride of Maui. We would do it again without hesitation.

Pride of Maui Elua Luxury Molokini Snorkel Trip - Amazing!
We had a wonderful day on the Pride of Maui Elua snorkeling trip! We did a 5 hour adventure on the Elua luxury yacht and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a small group snorkeling trip! This yacht is beatiful both inside and out! Very comfortable seating areas, very clean bathrooms! We were offered a lovely continental breakfast and a great bbq grill lunch! Crew was amazing! Very attentive to all of us and our specific needs. They offered plenty of preventative solutions for seasickness - greatly appreciated as it was a windy day so sea was quite choppy! Thanks for a lovely day!
Response from the operator: We are a family business with 40 years in Hawaiian waters, who continue to appreciate these wonderful reviews from so may of our wonderful guests! We offer two options for spending your day with us on the ocean. Our flagship, Pride of Maui is the largest and most stable, Maxi Power Catamaran on Maui. She is spacious and ideal for families and groups looking for a fun, well equipped snorkel boat which includes a super water slide for kids and adults of all ages. Our new luxury power catamaran Pride of Maui "Elua", is the only luxury power catamaran on Maui, designed for discerning guests who appreciate exceptional experiences aboard an exceptional boat, with a lot fewer passengers than all the other large catamarans. I am pleased that you chose "Elua" and have so many nice things to say about our luxury yacht and her amazing and attentive crew. Glad you had and amazing and lovely day.

A Highlight of the Maui Trip
Five of us took the ʻElua Luxury Molokini and Turtle Town Snorkel Tour on Tuesday, August 4, and it was a highlight of our Maui trip. From the moment we boarded, it was clear this crew runs a top-notch operation. Captain Justin was fantastic — knowledgeable, clearly passionate about the ocean and Maui, and great at balancing safety with fun. He explained everything we needed to know without ever making it feel like a lecture, and he kept the whole boat laughing and engaged throughout the day. Kirsty was an excellent lifeguard, keeping a close eye on everyone in the water while still making us feel relaxed and taken care of. Anna and Sam were terrific too — from helping us get fitted with gear to cooking up a delicious lunch onboard, they handled it all with warmth and efficiency. The food was a genuine highlight (four of us had the island fish, one had the cheeseburger, and everyone cleaned their plates!). Molokini was breathtaking — crystal clear water and incredible visibility — and Turtle Town did not disappoint, with several green sea turtles gliding right by us. The whole crew made sure everyone, regardless of snorkeling experience, felt comfortable and had a great time. If you're looking for a snorkel tour in Maui, book with Pride of Maui and ask for the ʻElua. Justin, Kirsty, Anna, and Sam made it a trip we'll be talking about for years. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: We love to read these detailed reviews from guests like you who take the time to share so much about what made your experience with us, a highlight of your time on Maui. As a family business I'm so proud of my son Captain Justin, and his team. Justin is born and raised in the Hawaiian islands, and on these waters. He is an expert waterman, diver, and Captain. He is also passionate about this beautiful island of Maui, and appreciates that it is our guests who make it possible for us to do what we love so much. Kiersti, Anna and Sam are likewise passionate to share their knowledge of the ocean, and are dedicated to your safety, comfort and overall experience. You are so right, a filet of fish, freshly grilled right onboard, is especially delicious out on the ocean, with the majestic Maui coastline as your backdrop. Burger lovers rave about our Wagyu beef also served hot off the grill. The calm and crystal visibility at Molokini is spectacular and the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles at Turtle Town are just wonderful. Thanks for highlighting so many of the reasons you be talking about your experience with us for years to come.

Real good for a first time snorkler in beautiful Hawaii
This was really well organized. They did a great job checking people in, giving instructions, getting everyone set and ready. You get the perfect amount of time at each location (of 2) that you snorkel at. They provide a basic hamburger/hot dog and chips lunch. It was extremely well organized. This will involve a lot of other passengers on board. It was extremely family friendly, so lots of kids. No one can promise what youll see so stop one had some fish. Stop two I saw 4 turtles, which is amazing, but there are a lot of people in the water also looking to see turtles, so keep the crowds in mind. As with most excursions, a tip is expected on top of the cost of the tickets.
Response from the operator: This is a well arranged review which we appreciate. It is very important for the safety and relaxation of our guests that we are organized, so that the overall experience is seamless and you do not have to give a second thought to anything but having a great day on the ocean, while leaving the rest to us. We are a family business with over 40 years operating in these waters. our Captains and crew are highly trained, skilled and experienced. I am glad you enjoyed the snorkeling, and the BBQ lunched grilled onboard. The Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles are a majestic site and its awesome that you saw four on your second stop. Pride of Maui is family friendly, and equipped with a super water slide to launch into the ocean, which is fun for kids of all ages!

Great experience
Crew was extremely friendly and went out of the there way to make you feel safe out in the water. The snorkeling was amazing. The areas they took us out to were never too packed. The food and drinks that were provided on board were great too. Would definitely recommend.
Response from the operator: Our flagship Pride of Maui is the largest and most stable Maxi power catamaran on Maui, with more space than any other large catamaran. Our crew are seasoned veterans with decades of experience. We are pleased that you had a great experience, and that you definitely recommend us! Mahalo!

Why this scores 84
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Maui: Molokini and Turtle Town Snorkeling aboard Pride of Maui: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Maui.
How much does Maui: Molokini and Turtle Town Snorkeling aboard Pride of Maui cost?
+
Prices start at $183 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Maui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Maui: Molokini and Turtle Town Snorkeling aboard Pride of Maui take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Maui is not rushed.
Is Maui: Molokini and Turtle Town Snorkeling aboard Pride of Maui worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 1,274 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Maui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Maui: Molokini and Turtle Town Snorkeling aboard Pride of Maui?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Maui: Molokini and Turtle Town Snorkeling aboard Pride of Maui suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Maui: Molokini and Turtle Town Snorkeling aboard Pride of Maui?
+
Around 446 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Maui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Maui and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Maui: Molokini and Turtle Town Snorkeling aboard Pride of Maui start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Maui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Maui?
+
Maui's three signature days are the Hana road, the Haleakala summit sunrise and the Molokini snorkel sail, and all three are logistics problems as much as experiences. Sunrise summit entry is permit-controlled, Hana is a ten-hour driving day, and Molokini boats vary wildly in size. Our ranking rewards operators who handle permits and keep boat capacity low. On Outty we rank every Maui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Molokini Crater + South Maui Coast Adventure from Kihei, Maui, Maui: VIP Private Road to Hana Tour with Pick Up, Road to Hana Adventure Maui Tour with Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Maui?
+
April to May and September to October. Whale season runs December to April. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Maui?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
