Jewelry making and shopping!
I had such a wonderful experience at Maui Mona Lisa’s jewelry studio! The puka shell pearl jewelry-making class was fun, creative, and incredibly hands-on. Mona Lisa was welcoming, knowledgeable, and made the entire process easy to follow, whether you're experienced with jewelry making or trying it for the first time.

Such a fun way to bring home a piece of Maui
We had such a fun time together. It was nice to just slow down and be creative. Sherry accommodated us so kindly. Can’t wait to visit in person!
Response from the operator: Aloha Girls, it was nice to meet all of you. We used Zoom. it was a great option for those people who are not located on Maui. All of you made absolutely gorgeous necklaces.

Did you know you could make something unique and tailored just to you?
I had a great experience at Maui Mona Lisa. I enjoyed the time and effort that was put in into making this experience amazing and unique. From a welcome charcuterie board and raspberry tea drink to an amazing explanation on how to make my own necklace. I loved hearing the story behind the brand and being able to take home a necklace with local Maui shells. Overall I highly recommend this experience!
Response from the operator: Aloha Jill, your necklace turned out absolutely stunning. I had a great time sharing sustainability and how pearls are sourced. Mahalo Nui Loa for becoming a great jewelry maker. Maui Mona Lisa

Amazing, kid friendly experience!!!
Mona Lisa’s class was amazing!! We came as a family of four with two children, ages 4 and 6. Mona Lisa tailored the class to be age appropriate and kept their attention the whole time! We made 3 necklaces each (with real pearls and shells!!) she taught the kids about nature and sustainability and prepared a wide variety organic fruits and home made dips. Mona Lisa is a professional but made things so easy to understand and follow for our kids!! We really appreciate the extra effort she put into making this such a memorable experience and we will definitely be returning!!! If you have young kids - this will be a memorable experience for your family!!!
Response from the operator: Aloha and Mahalo for the review! I really enjoyed your family. The kids were really good at making jewelry. It was fun to see them be so creative and how their eyes light up at all the possibilities. Can’t wait to see you both and kids on your next visit!

This was a very fun and...
This was a very fun and informative class. The instructor is knowledgeable on jewelry making, as well as different shells and pearls. She is passionate about her craft. The location was a bit difficult to find and weather was a contributing factor, but the instructor was generous. I had a great time.
Response from the operator: I had such a wonderful time with you. I was truly amazed by your ability to create and capture something so unique and meaningful in your jewelry—it really made the experience feel special. With the road closures near our beach, I know it could have been a bit stressful, and I genuinely appreciated you going the extra mile to still make the day feel relaxed and enjoyable in my home studio. It meant a lot to me. Thank you again for such a beautiful and memorable experience! I hope you will come back and visit soon! Mahalo Nui Loa Maui Mona Lisa

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Maui Jewelry Making Class with Puka Shells and Pearls: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Maui.
How much does Maui Jewelry Making Class with Puka Shells and Pearls cost?
+
Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Maui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Maui Jewelry Making Class with Puka Shells and Pearls take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Maui is not rushed.
Is Maui Jewelry Making Class with Puka Shells and Pearls worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Maui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Maui Jewelry Making Class with Puka Shells and Pearls?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Maui Jewelry Making Class with Puka Shells and Pearls suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Maui Jewelry Making Class with Puka Shells and Pearls?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Maui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Maui and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Maui Jewelry Making Class with Puka Shells and Pearls start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Maui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Maui?
+
Maui's three signature days are the Hana road, the Haleakala summit sunrise and the Molokini snorkel sail, and all three are logistics problems as much as experiences. Sunrise summit entry is permit-controlled, Hana is a ten-hour driving day, and Molokini boats vary wildly in size. Our ranking rewards operators who handle permits and keep boat capacity low. On Outty we rank every Maui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Molokini Crater + South Maui Coast Adventure from Kihei, Maui, Maui: VIP Private Road to Hana Tour with Pick Up, Road to Hana Adventure Maui Tour with Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Maui?
+
April to May and September to October. Whale season runs December to April. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Maui?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
