Beautiful discovery
We took a private driver which I recommend as we do a lot of car. 8 hours by car punctuated by beautiful landscape tours. However, you have to plan for money because even all inclusive, there are always fees that arise! After a wonderful night in a 5-star hotel, another 7-hour drive to Merzouga for 6pm. Quad departure for 1 hour with guide not too chatty, but worth it. Afterwards, departure for a camel ride, really well in addition to the break on the dunes until sunset. Magic pictures! Finally, dinner and sleep in the luxury tent (no A/C). If you want A/C this is the royal package that you have to take. Very good dinner, but no drinks included including water!!! Tomorrow departure at 8:30 with the driver who wanted to return as soon as possible which seems to have made us miss a return from the camp in the morning! Another 8h drive for Marakesh version formula 1 avoiding the different face-to-face in overtaking in the dangerous curves of the mountains. OK. We enjoyed our stay despite the small details, the 5 hours spent on the dunes were worth the cost! For our driver, we left 200 dirahm. It's up to you.

Fantastic experience
Fantastic experience which our resilient drivers Hassan and Samad, together with our experienced guides Haadi and Samad have taken us on. 3 magical days full of surprises, learning and wow moments. The trip is very much worth it, as it’s packed with information from local guides, stops to admire beautiful places and super friendly people everywhere. Our needs were met with attention, everyone has been very helpful and with a smile on their faces. For those anxious around the unknown, we do recommend calling ahead to confirm the exact picking location and time, as there is a great variety of hotels snd riads accessible in different ways.

I recommend Imad to do any route. Very good driver, good person, very respectful and very nice. He made interesting stops along the way, explaining us about them. He accompanied us and guided us excellently the entire journey. Without a doubt, we will repeat with him. I recommend always tipping, as a gesture of gratitude.

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Marrakech to Merzouga Dunes 3 Day Desert Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does Marrakech to Merzouga Dunes 3 Day Desert Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $70 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Marrakech to Merzouga Dunes 3 Day Desert Tour take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is Marrakech to Merzouga Dunes 3 Day Desert Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Marrakech to Merzouga Dunes 3 Day Desert Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Marrakech to Merzouga Dunes 3 Day Desert Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Marrakech to Merzouga Dunes 3 Day Desert Tour?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Marrakech to Merzouga Dunes 3 Day Desert Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
