About this experience

Start your day with an early departure from Marrakech to make the most of the trip. The drive to the Ourika Valley is scenic, with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains along the way. Your first stop is the women’s argan oil cooperative, where you’ll learn about the traditional methods used to extract this valuable oil. You can also sample argan products and discover their many uses. Continue on to the village of Sti Fatma, the gateway to the waterfalls. Take some time to explore the vibrant local market or enjoy a coffee before starting your journey. The hike to the waterfalls offers stunning views of the valley, lush vegetation, and small streams. While the first waterfall is relatively easy to reach, exploring requires a little more effort and sturdy shoes. After your hike, return to the village and enjoy a leisurely lunch at a riverside restaurant. Traditional Moroccan dishes like tagines, couscous, and fresh salads are common, accompanied by refreshing mint tea.

Excellent Guide+Service, recommend with trust

We reserved an excursion to Ourika Village. Our guide, Ossumma, was exceptional, treating us with the utmost care and ensuring our well-being, safety, and enjoyment throughout the trip. Duration: 7hrs *Price of excursion is very affordable Our itinerary included stops at picturesque scenic locations, a visit to a women's Argan Oil cooperative, a hike to the waterfalls, and a return to Ourika Village for lunch. Ossumma consistently ensured that every member of our group received equitable attention and care. Interestingly, when we shared the alphabet of my mother tongue and his Berberic, they sounded pretty much similar, however, when making words, meanings are different. Ossumma was amazing overall.

BEST DAY EVER!

BEST DAY EVER!! The tour was jam-packed w so many experiences in 1 day inc Atlas Mountains, hiking, waterfalls, Agafay desert, camel riding, argon oil women's cooperative. The lunch (inc in cost) was the best tagine I'd ever had (huge portions) w couscous & salad whilst looking over a view of the mountains. It was so gorgeous & scenic. Breakfast also inc. Our guide Mustafa was incredibly knowledgeable & made our visit even more interesting w inform about culture & traditions of Morocco. He was very proactive in highlighting good opportunities for photos & they regularly offered to take photos of us on our phones which was sweet. The tour operator/driver Abdul was a very safe driver & similarly gave lots of interesting info about Morocco. He kept us entertained all the way & was incredibly polite. Both gentlemen were so passionate about their job it really showed. I'm so glad I booked this tour & honestly, even if it was triple the price, it'd still be well worth it. This was our best day in Morocco & we got so many lovely pictures in one day. My experience in the rest of Marrakesh was very different so I'm so glad I ended my trip with this tour

Marrakech: ourika valley day trip lunch waterfulls hike + guide: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.

How much does Marrakech: ourika valley day trip lunch waterfulls hike + guide cost?

+

Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Marrakech: ourika valley day trip lunch waterfulls hike + guide take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.

Is Marrakech: ourika valley day trip lunch waterfulls hike + guide worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Marrakech: ourika valley day trip lunch waterfulls hike + guide?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Marrakech: ourika valley day trip lunch waterfulls hike + guide suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Marrakech: ourika valley day trip lunch waterfulls hike + guide?

+

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Marrakech: ourika valley day trip lunch waterfulls hike + guide start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marrakech?

+

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
