Super awesome experience....
Super awesome experience. Great breakfast before and after and team is very accommodating. However not all times are ‘sunrise’ we did the 6:30 slot and the sky was already fully in the sky by the time we were up in the air around 8. If you want actual sunrise pick an earlier time like 5:30

Great fun had by all!
Early start if you book the "first flight out" but worth it. Really fun experience and easy to book. Quick collection direct from our hotel. Food options limited if you have any intolerances (gluten) so maybe take a snack

First time last time
The transport vehicle without AirCon AC, you can imagine your self in car without windows at 40C degrees and the AC of car not working U feel cooking like Tajen The time in ballon too short The altitude not high like others ballon I feel the captain not very experienced because of that she go higher No water even if you want to buy I expect the breakfast more rich

Scammers in the Skies
⚠️⚠️⚠️ WARNING This company is running very dodgy illegal scam operations. They cancel trips and then don't respond to messages until the 24 hour window for full refunds goes by. Then the GetYouGuide policy is that they have to manually contact and chase to process refund to which they purposely don't communicate or cooperate with. After several attempts over the course of 2 days to get through to the guide Youssef, we contacted Youssef from my partners phone and he replied instantly. He thought we were another customer that had "lost their phone" and said if we want it back we have to pay the driver 20€ for them to give it back (the price given in euros this time). I feel very sad for the person who lost their phone and is likely currently being scammed. Also if you don't purchase the flight video option they can charge silly fees of 300 MAD Durham so be careful of hidden costs or things not mentioned in the ads. This is not part of their policy nor part of the GetYourGuide policy. This is fraudulent activity and needs to be reported ASAP to tourism police (brigade touristique) or local police. I've reported also to GetYourGuide as this is a breach of their agreement contract and it is against the Morrocan Law "Article 540 of the Moroccan Penal Code" (Fraud and swindling) There are many other providers for Balloons rides.
Response from the operator: Dear Sophie, We are very surprised by the serious accusations made in this review. You did not fly with Marrakech By Air because your flight was cancelled. When Marrakech By Air cancels a flight due to wind, weather conditions or for safety reasons, the customer is entitled to a 100% refund. The 24-hour customer cancellation policy has nothing to do with a cancellation made by us for safety reasons. Marrakech By Air has been operating in Marrakech for approximately 20 years, and passenger safety has always been our first priority. We do not operate a flight when conditions are not considered safe. A large part of your review concerns a completely different person who had apparently lost a telephone. According to your own review, when you contacted our commercial team from another telephone, our colleague mistakenly believed that you were that other customer. You were therefore referring to a conversation and situation concerning someone else, not your own experience. You do not know the circumstances surrounding that person’s lost telephone, what arrangements had been made, or the complete communication between that customer and our team. It is therefore extremely unfair to use a situation involving another person to publicly accuse Marrakech By Air of “scam”, “fraudulent activity” and illegal operations. We strongly reject these accusations. A cancelled flight due to weather or wind is a safety decision, and when we cancel, the customer receives a 100% refund. After nearly 20 years of operating balloon flights in Marrakech, we take our reputation, our legal obligations and, above all, the safety of our passengers extremely seriously. We will always choose safety over operating a flight in unsuitable weather conditions, and when Marrakech By Air cancels for safety reasons, our customers are fully refunded. We remain proud of the trust that tens of thousands of guests have placed in us over the years and will continue to operate with the same commitment to safety, professionalism and transparency. Kind regards, The Marrakech By Air Team

Hot air balloon sunrise With Berber breakfast
We had an absolutely amazing hot air balloon experience in Marrakech with a traditional Berber breakfast. We were picked up from our hotel and first taken to the first site, where we enjoyed fresh pastries with a choice of coffee or juice while the balloon was prepared. The flight itself was incredible—watching the sun rise over the Atlas Mountains is something we’ll never forget. Captain Elena was brilliant: professional, entertaining, and clearly very experienced. We felt completely safe and well looked after throughout. After landing, we were treated to a delicious traditional Moroccan (Berber) breakfast in a tented camp; authentic, tasty, and the perfect way to end the morning. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Marrakech!

Why this scores 72
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Marrakech Hot Air Balloon Flight & Berber Breakfast: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does Marrakech Hot Air Balloon Flight & Berber Breakfast cost?
+
Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Marrakech Hot Air Balloon Flight & Berber Breakfast take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is Marrakech Hot Air Balloon Flight & Berber Breakfast worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 1,388 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Marrakech Hot Air Balloon Flight & Berber Breakfast?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Marrakech Hot Air Balloon Flight & Berber Breakfast suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Marrakech Hot Air Balloon Flight & Berber Breakfast?
+
Around 486 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Marrakech Hot Air Balloon Flight & Berber Breakfast start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, Agafay Desert Package, Quad Bike, Camel Ride and Dinner Show. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
