Good food, good wine, great experience!

We had a wonderful day. Christina took us for a market tour, plus a tour of her local neighborhood. She explained everything in great detail. We helped with the cooking and enjoyed an amazing meal of local Portuguese dishes. This has been a highlight of our time in Lisbon.

Dinner with Cristina in Lisbon is a MUST!

My mother and I traveled from the USA west coast to Europe in October 2025. Our final country visited was Portugal, and on our first night in Lisbon we had a dinner experience booked with Cristina at her lovely home. Cristina’s hospitality, fun stories, and vast knowledge about the local cuisine made for an unforgettable evening. The food was delicious and atmosphere so welcoming. We learned about Baccalu com Nata, a local dish made with salt cod and veggies, as well as Caldo Verde, a scrumptious potato, kale and chorizo soup. I am a professional chef and found the food to be delectable, I cant wait to try out some of the recipes Cristina shared for my loved ones. One key word that comes to mind is AUTHENTIC! It felt like being at dinner with a dear friend. The delicious vinho verde was a great bonus! If you are in Lisbon and looking for an authentic and heart warming experience, consider booking with Cristina!

Response from the operator: Dear Danielle, Thank you for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review. We’re thrilled to hear that your cooking class with Cristina in Lisbon was such an authentic and memorable culinary experience. Cristina loves welcoming travelers into her home and sharing the flavors, stories, and traditions of Portuguese cuisine, from the comforting Caldo Verde to the classic Bacalhau com Natas. It’s fantastic that you enjoyed the hands-on experience, the warm atmosphere, and the delicious Vinho Verde alongside your mother. Experiences like this are exactly what make Traveling Spoon cooking classes so special—connecting with a local, learning traditional recipes, and enjoying a homemade meal in a home setting. We hope to welcome you again for another unforgettable Lisbon cooking class or any of our other global culinary experiences! Warm regards, Cherry

Cristina was amazing! When we arrived she gave us a private tour of her neighborhood and gave us insight into daily life in Lisbon. We talked for so long by the time we left it was 2 hrs past the scheduled finish time haha. She instantly welcomed us like friends and that is definitely how we left. Highly recommend!

Market Tour and Portuguese Cooking Class in Lisbon with Cristina: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Market Tour and Portuguese Cooking Class in Lisbon with Cristina cost?

    +

Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Market Tour and Portuguese Cooking Class in Lisbon with Cristina take?

    +

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Market Tour and Portuguese Cooking Class in Lisbon with Cristina worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Market Tour and Portuguese Cooking Class in Lisbon with Cristina?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Market Tour and Portuguese Cooking Class in Lisbon with Cristina suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Market Tour and Portuguese Cooking Class in Lisbon with Cristina?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Market Tour and Portuguese Cooking Class in Lisbon with Cristina start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
