Book Nuno!!
Our day with Nuno was one of the highlights of our time in Portugal. The history of Tomar, the Knights Templar, the Convent of Christ, and Alcobaça was fascinating, but what made this tour unforgettable was Nuno himself. He has a remarkable way of bringing history to life while weaving in personal stories and life experiences that make every conversation meaningful. When lunchtime came, Nuno politely insisted it was our family time. But we pulled the classic Asian move and convinced him to join us anyway! Looking back, we're so glad we did. Sharing a meal together allowed us to hear more about his life, Portugal, and the values that shaped him. By the end of lunch, he no longer felt like our guide...he felt like family. Nuno is thoughtful, genuine, and incredibly wise. My husband and Nuno connected instantly, talking as if they had been lifelong friends. He made us feel not only welcomed in Portugal, but like we belonged there. If you're looking for more than a tour....if you want meaningful conversations, authentic stories, and a guide who truly cares about the people he meets...book Nuno!! You won't just leave with beautiful photos. You'll leave with a friend. Thank you, Nuno, for sharing your country, your wisdom, and a part of your life with our family. We'll never forget it.

Central Portugal Tours with Nuno !!
We spent 2 days in Central Portugal visiting Fátima, Tomar, Alcobaca, Batalha and Obidos. Our driver / guide both days was a gentleman named Nuno. I want to tell you that Nuno was fabulous. He provided us with so much background, he provided historical background with a passion. He helped connect the dots between the various locations by explaining the events that were going on at the time. I could go on and on , but to summarize I will tell you that seeing these sites with Nuno’s guidance and enthusiasm was the best. I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to see and learn about historical Portuguese sites.

Highly recommend
John, the driver, picked us up on time, right at our hotel. He was not only knowledgeable on the Knights, he was passionate about it. We had a wonderful day exploring along with a fabulous lunch at the “Baby Pig”! We were never rushed and all questions were welcomed. John’s gift for storytelling combined with his sense of humor made for a memorable day!

If you want the best tour and tour guide choose/read this.
Valerio was the BEST tour guide we had in our entire stay in Portugal. He is a historian at heart and an amazing communicator as he shares his passion, perspectives and bridges the gap when providing the story and history of the Medieval Knights Templar. Valerio was able to show my sister and I not only the sites we wanted to see but also was able to walk away with way more all encompassing knowledge about Portugal. This tour was the best and our guide was the very best at his craft.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Medieval Knights Templar and Alcobaça Private Day Trip from Lisbon: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Medieval Knights Templar and Alcobaça Private Day Trip from Lisbon cost?
+
Prices start at $214 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Medieval Knights Templar and Alcobaça Private Day Trip from Lisbon take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Medieval Knights Templar and Alcobaça Private Day Trip from Lisbon worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Medieval Knights Templar and Alcobaça Private Day Trip from Lisbon?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Medieval Knights Templar and Alcobaça Private Day Trip from Lisbon suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Medieval Knights Templar and Alcobaça Private Day Trip from Lisbon?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Medieval Knights Templar and Alcobaça Private Day Trip from Lisbon start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
