Truly a once in a lifetime experience

All I can say about the trip is that it is truly a once in a lifetime experience. Sunil made the trip so easy and well organized that we were left only to enjoy everything that came along. From the initial trip planning conversation to departure, everything was so smooth. Mardi Himal trail is simply an awesome region where you find yourself lost in its magical beauty and we were lucky to have a clear view when we were trekking. We practiced yoga every morning and evening and mountains and nature made the practice even better. We lived the moment and loved the experience. We are happy to have chosen this trip.

Response from the operator: Dear Rebecca, Thank you so much for such a lovely review of your experience of the Mardi Himal Yoga Trek. We are happy to know that you had a beautiful experience on the adventure. We look forward to serving you on your next adventure in Nepal.

Beautiful Trip, Excellent Service

I signed up for the trek with a few of my friends and did it without much expectation. It turned out to be an unforgettable experience with such amazing people. Sunil was so prompt in replying emails and every time he replied, all our questions were answered clearly. Our guide Gopal was an amazing man and the best guide I have ever met. He was there all the time when we wanted him and made sure we were comfortable. The porters were creatures from another planet and I cannot talk enough about them. Finally, the view of mountains we got from Mardi Himal was breathtaking and worth all the effort we made. It was a beautiful experience with excellent service for sure

Response from the operator: Dear Jacqueline, Thank you so much for such a lovely review of your experience of the Mardi Himal Yoga Trek. We are happy to learn that you had a beautiful experience on the trip. We look forward to serving you on your next adventure in Nepal.

It was awesome.

I and my friends did this trek in the second week of September and enjoyed it thoroughly. Although it was raining the first couple of days, we were lucky that the weather got clear when we reached the High Camp and Mardi Base Camp and we could see the Himalayas right in front of us. It was surreal and the experience was awesome. Our guide, Gopal, was a gentleman who knew so much about the area and what he was doing. He always thought about our safety and went an extra mile to ensure the same. It was an unforgettable trip for me and I highly recommend it.

Response from the operator: Dear Martha! Thank you for such lovely words. It is our pleasure to know that you enjoyed the trek. We look forward to serving you again in other adventures.

Amazing Experience!

I did this Yoga and Trek with Sunil back in December and it was truly amazing. I was travelling alone and leaving Canada for the first time, so was a little nervous about everything! Sunil was an awesome guide and I felt very very comfortable hiking around in the mountains with him. I heard of several poor experiences from other travellers, so I'm really glad I went with Sunil. He spoke extremely good English, knowledgeable about the area, and had lots of good stories to tell and conversation was easy. Lastly his knowledge of Yoga was wonderful and just what I was looking for. Mardi Hamal trail was a great trail and way less busy than the other treks. The timing was perfect (end of novemeber/beginning of December) as I was looking forward to dry weather and the "cold" in the mountains was not nearly as bad as I anticipated. It's the dry season at this time and I'm so glad, as we got zero rain and many days of clear blue skies and mornings with amazing sunsets. I honestly can't recommend Sunil and Mardi Hamal enough and I hoping to bring a big group back with me next year!

Response from the operator: Dear Kristie, Namaste! I hope you are doing well. Thank you so much for taking the time out to write such a lovely review of your trip experience with us. We are really glad that you enjoyed the experience of Mardi Himal Yoga Trek. Our only intention is to offer our clients a wonderful experience and a high level of satisfaction when they are with us. And we are happy that we succeded in delivering the same to you on your trip with us. We certainly look forward to serving you another wonderful trip experience in Nepal in the days to come.

Mardi Himal Yoga Trek: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Mardi Himal Yoga Trek cost?

+

Prices start at $1057 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mardi Himal Yoga Trek take?

+

Plan for about 240 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Mardi Himal Yoga Trek worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mardi Himal Yoga Trek?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Mardi Himal Yoga Trek suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 240-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Mardi Himal Yoga Trek?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 240-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mardi Himal Yoga Trek start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

+

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Kathmandu Food and Drink Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
