About this experience
Located at the base of the Mt. Macchapuchrre and Mardi Himal, Mardi Himal Trek is like no others. With the rocky terrain to the beautiful grasslands and the lush rhododendron forest, the amount of nature one can grace on this journey is immense. Also hailed as one of the most beautiful treks in all of the Eastern Himalayan region, Mardi Himal Trek has been increasingly popular. Through the thick forests and the rocky trails, we move to the High Camp (3,600m). Trekking further we reach Mardi Himal Base camp (4,500m). From the base camp, the view of mountains is surreal. From the unique fishtail mountain – Mt. Macchapuchhre (6,993m) to the Annapurna ranges, the mountains look absolutely majestic, and that is worth a great picture.

Poon Hill / Mardi Himal - really good experience!
Bimal was really helpful, responsive and friendly in supporting to arrange the trip and come up with a modified itinerary that suited us. We did Poon Hill and Mardi Himal, via the hot springs (recommend!), over about 6 days. Our guide Tis was really pleasant company and friendly, despite some language barriers. April was a wonderful time to see all the rhododendrons and luckily, after some rain, the pollution cleared after a few days. We had clear skies for Mardi Himal sunrise, which was amazing! Overall, if you are looking for a guiding company, we would really recommend Happyland Treks. They are very invested in you having a good and smooth trip, and I think are good value for money - similar price to the many other providers out there. Nepalese owned also, which we liked. Thank you so much Bimal and Tis!
Response from the operator: Dear Sasha Namaste, Thank you so much for sharing the Nepal trekking experience and trusting the Happyland Treks. We hope to see you again and have a wonderful day.

AMAZING experience
My partner and I organized the Mardi Himal trek through Bimal at Happy Land Trekking and it was such an AMAZING experience. Bimal is so friendly and easy to communicate and plan with, he is thoughtful and thinks of all the details : he sent us off with snacks, medications incase we get sick, and he even lent us gloves. He organised a wonderful guide : Karma, who was the perfect guide for us: he knew a lot about the area, was so helpful and friendly and also we enjoyed our conversations with him a lot. The trek is amazing: the views and the experience is unforgettable! I did my first trek in Nepal with Bimal in 2010 when he was beginning in the trekking industry and since then we have remained in contact and stayed friends, it’s so cool to see the awesome business he has set up. I couldn’t recommend him any higher to organize a trek or tour with, he is just so warm and friendly and I trust him 100%! He also has helped us out with other things during our stay in Nepal! Danyabad Merro satti!
Response from the operator: Dear Maya, thank you so much for sharing your feelings. We're thrilled to hear you had such a memorable experience on your Nepal trek. Thank you again and hope to see you in Nepal.

Mardi Himal Trek - Annapurna: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Mardi Himal Trek - Annapurna cost?
+
Prices start at $1098 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mardi Himal Trek - Annapurna take?
+
Plan for about 240 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Mardi Himal Trek - Annapurna worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mardi Himal Trek - Annapurna?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Mardi Himal Trek - Annapurna suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 14. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 240-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Mardi Himal Trek - Annapurna?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 240-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mardi Himal Trek - Annapurna start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
