Breathtaking views in wonderful company

I’m so extremely grateful for the organisation of this trekking to the Three Jewels Adventures. This was my second time with them - the first trek we did was in Upper Mustang and I have had only great experience with our amazing guide - Lok. The trek was well organised, our guide was very friendly and open-minded to any of our suggestions and the views were breathtaking. If you are still hesitating, just don’t and go on Manaslu Base Camp trek with Theew Jewels Adventures, you will not be dissapointed!

Manaslu/Tsum Valley

This is my fourth trek with Three Jewels Adventures so clearly I have a great deal of confidence in this company and once again I was not disappointed. I combined Tsum Valley with Manaslu/Larke Pass for a 20 day trek. By contrast with the Everest region, there were very few people on the this trek. Tea houses along the routes were more basic but comfortable enough and I was surprised that in all but two stops there was an electric outlet in the room. My guide Lok and porter Ram made sure that i was safe and comfortable and anticipated my needs before I did! This is a strenuous trek with some long days (especially the Larke pass) and it retrospect, I would have added one or two more rest days. We had very clear days with only one daytime rain event so the views were amazing. You will also see a more traditional way of Nepali life here but of course that is beginning to slowly changes as roads etc. start to make the region more accessible--so go now!

Manaslu circuit trek

I had a wonderful time during my Manaslu circuit organised by Three Jewels. Everything was top notch. It started with great communication with Amber and he was very helpful in matching the right trek to the experience i was after. They certainly delivered! I was collected from Kathmandu airport by Nursang, the fantastic, knowledgeable and helpful guide for my trip. The next day we set off for Khorlabesi, where we’d start the trip. Nursang took me to villages and guesthouses less visited by tourists and always selected spots with great food along the way (i think i became somewhat of a dal bhat connoisseur during this trip). He knew i appreciated experiencing the culture and a good physical challenge so he took me on some great side trips (Pung Gyen Gompa was a highlight!). In the end I wasn’t too keen on the overnight stay in Dharamsala mostly because of the altitude but also it being a bit of a tourist bottleneck before Larke La and Nursang fully adjusted my itinerary on the spot for this. (Hot tip: start your trekking days early, you’ll get the best views of the mountains and will run into hardly anyone). Transport to and from Kathmandu, on some pretty rough roads, went very smooth as there was always a driver waiting. Back in Kathmandu they also organised a fantastic cultural city tour for half a day before i rested up to catch my flight back home. All in all a seamless itinerary and hats off to Amber for organising and Nursang for executing. Can’t recommend Three Jewels enough! Thank you for the unforgettable experience!

200% service, a golden team

If you choose three jewels, you get 200% value for money. From the first contact with Amber Tamang it was personal and clear. The offer was complete and (possibly too) sharp. The personal contact was quick and good. The introduction on the spot was with a man who was sincere and honest and really loves the mountains. The team he selected for us was superb! Nursang Sherpa (guide) was always ready, adjusted the itinerary well to our company, provided good rooms, paid close attention to everyone and above all knew how to tell really nice and interesting things along the way. He was a great travel partner. Also our porters, Nimma and Nuri, were very friendly guys where we immediately had a good faith in them. Nice, fun and service oriented. Three jewels is a small travel company, and partly because of covid, smaller than they deserve. The team was well looked after and everything was well arranged. Various details were carefully thought through and, where possible, in cheap efficient solutions. We would recommend three jewels from Amber Tamang to everyone. A successful trip guaranteed! Thank you three jewels!

A trip we will never forget

We had an amazing experience doing the Manaslu Circuit. We included a trek to Pungyen Gompa, an extra day trip which we can really recommend, as well as Manaslu Basecamp. Beforehand, we have been in touch with Amber about the itinerary: what would fit our preferences in the amount of days and together, we created a great plan for our trip. We had a lot of questions and Amber patiently answered all of them, therefore we felt well-prepared and safe. Our guide Pemba took great care and our porter Ram was always ready to help. In a nutshell: An experience we will never forget. We can really recommend doing this trek with Three Jewels Adventures, as they are very transparent and reliable.

Manaslu Circuit Larkya Pass Trekking 13 days From Kathmandu: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Manaslu Circuit Larkya Pass Trekking 13 days From Kathmandu cost?

+

Prices start at $1590 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Manaslu Circuit Larkya Pass Trekking 13 days From Kathmandu take?

+

Plan for about 312 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Manaslu Circuit Larkya Pass Trekking 13 days From Kathmandu worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Manaslu Circuit Larkya Pass Trekking 13 days From Kathmandu?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 72 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Manaslu Circuit Larkya Pass Trekking 13 days From Kathmandu suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 312-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Manaslu Circuit Larkya Pass Trekking 13 days From Kathmandu?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 312-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Manaslu Circuit Larkya Pass Trekking 13 days From Kathmandu start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

+

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
