There are bus tours but not this half-day vintage ride
A bus tour was offered, which obviously does not exist. When we arrived at the meeting point, nobody could do anything with this booking. The money was reimbursed without complaint, as the organizer stated that we had not started the bus tour.

Great way to see a range of sights in one trip.
Enjoyed our day with Daniel and Caroline and a full bus load. It was a great way to get to the places we wanted to see while staying in Valetta. The warm October weather was perfect- not too hot for a bus without air con. The stops were timely. Be aware that you need to queue etc to get onto the boat at the blue caves- we enjoyed the boat trip snot was worth it. Lunch was a snack- light but tasty plus a drink.

Do not Recommend Vintage Bus for Sunday trip from Valletta to Marsaxlokk
I would recommend Malta Public Transport for return trip from Valletta to Marsaxlokk on Sundays and NOT the Vintage Bus. We booked the Vintage Bus a month in advance for return trip, but when we caught the bus in Valletta on our reserved day, it was full and we had to stand. The Vintage bus has very little space and poor accommodations for standers and you cannot see anything out the "vintage" low profile windows while standing. It does not have a very convenient return schedule either...and all we got was a shrug from the driver when we complained about being forced to stand for a supposedly "reserved" spot on the bus. I would definitely recommend Malta Public Transport for this trip: - The price is similar - the buses are bigger - you can see out the window if forced to stand - it has a much, much better and more convenient schedule with very frequent trips to and from Marsaxlokk on Sundays - the bus stop is closer to the centre of the Marsaxlokk market as well!

No show pickup
Can understand the bumpy ride with no aircon over to the Marsaxlokk Sunday markets as we were in a vintage bus but confirmed with the driver pick up time 1.15 and 2.15 but got to pickup at 2.05 and no show, ended up catching local bus to Valletta and ferry home, recommend using public transport, sent email but no reply😩🥵😤🤬
Response from the operator: Hi, Thanks for your feedback. So please let us know your booking number and also you have left a review on the wrong product.

Malta Half Day Vintage Bus Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mellieha.
How much does Malta Half Day Vintage Bus Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mellieha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Malta Half Day Vintage Bus Tour take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mellieha is not rushed.
Is Malta Half Day Vintage Bus Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.1/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mellieha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Malta Half Day Vintage Bus Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Malta Half Day Vintage Bus Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Malta Half Day Vintage Bus Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mellieha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mellieha and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Malta Half Day Vintage Bus Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mellieha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mellieha?
+
On Outty we rank every Mellieha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Malta: Gozo Full Day Buggy Tour with lunch and Comino Stop, Gozo All Inclusive Chauffeured Tuk Tuk Day Tour - Blue Lagoon, Gozo Quad Bike Day Tour - All-inclusive + Blue Lagoon. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mellieha?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mellieha?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What happens to Malta Half Day Vintage Bus Tour if the weather is bad?
+
It generally runs rain or shine, so dress for the forecast in Mellieha. Standard cancellation terms apply: free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start.
What do travelers say about Malta Half Day Vintage Bus Tour?
+
Across 7 reviews averaging 3.1 out of 5, recurring themes include the guide, value for money, food and drink. Travelers single out the guide as the reason the experience works.
