    A perfect morning in Malaga

This walk was the perfect introduction to Malaga. The lovely Angela, our guide, introduced us to tastes of Andalusian specialties in the market, and then lead us through quiet picturesque alleyways in the old town, pointing out the historical architectural details and giving us the history of the area . We would never have discovered these gems on our own, and Angela’s enthusiasm brought it all to life for us. Following the tour she also forwarded us a list of the restaurants and cafes she had mentioned on the walk - so we could continue to enjoy the area. We highly recommend this tour - particularly with the charming Angela.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! 🤍 We're so happy you enjoyed exploring Málaga with us and discovering some of its hidden corners, local flavours and stories. It was a pleasure meeting you, and we're delighted our recommendations were useful during the rest of your stay. We hope to see you again someday! ✨

Malaga through the eyes of a local friend

Booking Angela’s tour was the best decision we made in Malaga. We did her walking tour through the old city, and it turned out to be so much more than a tour. Angela has a way of bringing the city to life. She walked us through the streets sharing stories and hidden corners we never would have found on our own, and she helped us see the real soul of Malaga, the part that most visitors never get to experience. What made it so special was Angela herself. She’s warm, playful, and genuinely fun to be around, and she truly cared about what we wanted to see. She adapted everything to us, so it never felt like a scripted tour. It felt like exploring the city with a friend who loves it deeply and wanted us to fall in love with it too. She also introduced us to the most delicious local pastry, made with an old traditional recipe we would have completely missed otherwise. Little moments like that are what made the day unforgettable. If you want to discover the heart of Malaga and the parts most tourists never see, please do yourself a favor and book a tour with Angela. We’re so grateful we did. Thank you, Angela, for sharing your beautiful city with us.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for such a beautiful and thoughtful review! What a joy it was to read! ✨ We're so happy to hear that you experienced the true soul of Málaga and that the tour felt more like spending time with a friend than simply joining an experience. It was a real pleasure meeting you both and sharing this little corner of the city with you. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts 🤍 We truly hope to welcome you both back someday!

Get to know the city of Malaga on this fabulous tour

I loved it. It was a very special and interesting tour of the historic centre. I met with Angela, my guide, at the Moorish entrance to the covered Mercado de Atarazarias where I tried and bought some almonds and figs. We then took some of the quieter back streets, viewed several large churches and the cathedral, took in the Plaza de la Constitution, walked past the Museo de Picasso (which I visited later) and then made our way down to the location of the Roman amphitheatre and The Alcazaba of Malaga (an 11th century Moorish fortress), the calming botanic gardens and the harbour with its myriad of stalls and bars as well as a number of superyachts Angela was very informative and a really nice caring person - she sent me several recommendations for food and entertainment afterwards, a couple of which I took up ane enjoyed.

Malaga Old Town Walking Tour: Local Life and Hidden Corners: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Malaga.

How much does Malaga Old Town Walking Tour: Local Life and Hidden Corners cost?

    +

Prices start at $47 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Malaga usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Malaga Old Town Walking Tour: Local Life and Hidden Corners take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Malaga is not rushed.

Is Malaga Old Town Walking Tour: Local Life and Hidden Corners worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Malaga, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Malaga Old Town Walking Tour: Local Life and Hidden Corners?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Malaga Old Town Walking Tour: Local Life and Hidden Corners suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Malaga Old Town Walking Tour: Local Life and Hidden Corners?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Malaga can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Malaga and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Malaga Old Town Walking Tour: Local Life and Hidden Corners start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Malaga within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Malaga?

    +

On Outty we rank every Malaga experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Malaga City Tour 2 Hours Monumental Segway Tour, Taste of Malaga Tour : Tapas, History and Local Customs, Go local for a day!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Malaga?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Malaga?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
