Highly Recommend this tour and request Jazz as your guide
We went on a jeep tour and our guide was Jazz. Everything about the tour was excellent, the comfort, the beauty, the attention to detail and the explanation and knowledge of our guide. Our guide Jazz, actually made the already amazing trip even better. He customized the tour to meet our wants and needs. We had already been to a few of the places we were going so he adjusted the tour without us asking but yet checking to make sure we agreed. During our conversation we mentioned wishing the zip line was on our itinerary, but it wasn’t. Without hesitation or a reservation he took us there and worked his magic and got us a spot for the time of our lives! He even took us to see his beautiful hometown. Having such a knowledgeable, guide with such attention to detail and truly wanting us to have a great experience made a great adventure one of the best activities we did here in Madeira. Thank You Jazz

Awesome private tour
We had an amazing private jeep tour in Madeira and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The scenery was incredible, but what really made the experience special was our guide, Jazz. He was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the island’s history, culture, and hidden gems. He shared so many helpful insights throughout the day and was always happy to answer questions. Jazz made the tour both fun and informative, and his enthusiasm for Madeira was contagious. We highly recommend this tour and especially Jazz as a guide!

An Unforgettable Off-Road Adventure with the Best Guide on the Island!
If you’re visiting Madeira and only do one excursion, make it this one — and make sure you ask for Jaz. From the moment my wife and I set off in his spotless new Jeep Wrangler, it was clear that Jaz isn’t just doing a job — he genuinely loves this island with a passion. That enthusiasm is completely infectious. He brought places to life with stories, local knowledge and a real pride in showing off Madeira’s hidden gems, taking us to spots we would never have found on our own. The route was perfectly balanced — stunning viewpoints, dramatic landscapes, lush forest tracks and some seriously fun off-road sections that had us gripping our seats (in the best possible way!). The Jeep Wrangler handled every rugged path with ease, and it was clear the vehicle was well-maintained and road-ready — or should I say, off-road ready! What really set this experience apart was Jaz himself. He was attentive throughout, making sure we were both comfortable and happy, flexible with stops, and great fun to spend the day with. He has a brilliant sense of humour and a natural ability to make you feel completely at ease — whether you’re seasoned adventurers or just looking for something a little different from the usual tourist trail. We left with full memory cards, big smiles and a much deeper appreciation for this incredible island. Jaz — you made our trip. Thank you!
Response from the operator: Hi there, Thank you so much for this incredible review! Hearing that this was the highlight of your Madeira trip is exactly why we do what we do. We are lucky to have Jaz on our team; his passion for the island and his commitment to giving our guests a true, authentic insider’s look is what sets our private expeditions apart. He was thrilled to read your words, especially the shout-out to his favorite working tool—the new Wrangler Rubicon! We take great pride in keeping our fleet in top-notch condition to tackle those rugged off-road tracks with total comfort and safety. It was a real pleasure having you both on board. Whenever you decide to return to Madeira to discover more hidden gems, you know where to find us. Safe travels and big smiles, The Vanscape Tours Team

Great guide.
A very good experience, especially the guide who is incredible and makes the excursion a complete experience.
Response from the operator: ¡Hola!

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Madeira : East Peaks & Cliffs Jeep Wrangler Off-road Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Funchal.
How much does Madeira : East Peaks & Cliffs Jeep Wrangler Off-road Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $485 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Funchal usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Madeira : East Peaks & Cliffs Jeep Wrangler Off-road Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Funchal is not rushed.
Is Madeira : East Peaks & Cliffs Jeep Wrangler Off-road Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Funchal, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Madeira : East Peaks & Cliffs Jeep Wrangler Off-road Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Madeira : East Peaks & Cliffs Jeep Wrangler Off-road Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Madeira : East Peaks & Cliffs Jeep Wrangler Off-road Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Funchal can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Funchal and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Madeira : East Peaks & Cliffs Jeep Wrangler Off-road Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Funchal within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Funchal?
+
On Outty we rank every Funchal experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jeep Tour Amazing West to Natural Pools -Full-Day, Porto Moniz, Seixal, Fanal Forest, Cliff Skywalk in Open Roof 4X4, West Tour-Fanal Forest & Porto Moniz Natural Pools Small Groups. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Funchal?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Funchal?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
