On the way down to Santana, make a brief stop at Ribeiro Frio to visit the trout hatchery, surrounded by a beautiful garden with rare trees and endemic plants of the island (entrance not included). Discover Madeira's Laurisilva Forest in Ribeiro Frio, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999. In Santana, see the typical houses of the region. Take a lunch break here. Interesting visit despite the strictness and lack of a smile from the guide
Visits to the sites with a guide and quick access thanks to the bus. Satisfactory lunch. The weather is an important part of the visit starting in the morning at 1800 m altitude. Today, no visibility...

Bucket list tour
We were able to experience all of Madeira's diverse landscapes on this tour: Mountain, forest, cliffs, and sea. Lunch took place in a very friendly atmosphere. A small local rum tasting was also included. Our German-speaking tour guide was very pleasant and shared a lot of information with us.
