Camara De Lobos
Câmara de Lobos the name of this Village comes from the fact that, at the time of the island’s discovery, there was a large number of monk seals in the cove, which can still be found here today in the same configuration. In this region, several monuments remain that refer to this historical period, from the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, founded in the 15th century, to the old convent of São Bernardino, from 1425, passing by the church of São Sebastião, built in the 16th century. Jeep safari Funchal
Comfy ride you get approx 20 mins at each stop. One village skipped due to festival and st the highest point to rainy and foggy to see the forest, Maybe if we had been informed about the festival we might have booked a different day. The rock pools are amazing but again one side closed due to high tides . Take money for drinks and lunch as not included in the price

Knowledgeable guide. Fun experience where you get to see a lot of the island. Be aware of limited space in the jeep. Steep and a few rough roads, but the guide was adept at driving them. Highly recommend this activity. Ronaldo was fabulous!
