Amazing Experience
Our Machu Picchu tour was absolutely incredible! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. Our private taxi arrived on time, the PeruRail ride was comfortable and scenic, and our guide met us every step of the way, leading us seamlessly to the bus station and through the entire experience. Seeing Machu Picchu nestled among the breathtaking Andes Mountains was truly unforgettable. Our tour guide, Ronald, was outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Machu Picchu and shared fascinating facts that made the experience even more meaningful. We learned so much thanks to his expertise and passion. The entire tour exceeded our expectations. Everything ran smoothly, and we never had to worry about any of the logistics. I would absolutely book this tour again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Peru. Ronald was amazing, and the entire experience was spectacular

Very Smooth and Enriching Trip to Machu Pichu, Peru
We had an amazing experience in Peru, and a big part of that was thanks to the wonderful team that David has created. They supported us throughout the trip; from the very beginning, they were in touch with us, helping with planning and making sure the itinerary matched our interests and needs. We always felt that they were genuinely invested in making our trip special. One thing we really appreciated was how accommodating they were. We made a few last-minute changes to our plans, and the team handled everything smoothly. Throughout the trip, we got personalized attention and made us feel cared for. A heartfelt thank you to David and the entire team. In a travel industry that can sometimes feel impersonal and transactional, they stand out for their warmth, authenticity, and commitment to creating memorable experiences. We returned home with wonderful memories and a deep appreciation for the care and effort they put into every detail of our trip.

Súper chévere!
If I had to choose 3 words to describe our tour guide David, they’d be dedicated, grounded, and kind. My friends and I booked 4 days of tours with him, arranging a pick up from Cusco, treks to Humantay and Sacsayhuaman, and a tour of Machu Picchu. This experience was tailored to just what we wished to do! And while we all felt the physical demands of reaching these altitudes and long days of 26K steps (half of them uphill on rocky ground) we were grateful to be supported and felt safe with David’s guidance. David is knowledgeable of his culture, the spirits, folklore, history, and politics of these regions, and shared cool facts about botanicals and the animals as well. One highlight was on the way back from the train station, he had us pull over so we could see the ancient Inca carvings into the side of the mountain. This was unspeakably beautiful and transportative. In addition to Spanish and Quechua, David speaks English and German. We feel incredibly lucky to have found such a thoughtful and capable tour guide. You won’t regret going with him for your unique Peru experience!

amazing experience with a great tour company!
Peruvian Culture Tours helped my friend group customize our trip to Machu Picchu around a previous trip we had planned, and they did the absolute most to make sure we got there! There was an unexpected traffic jam in Ollantaytambo, and our guide thought on his feet and got us to the train station in time when many other travelers missed their trains. I was AMAZED by his ability to think on his feet, stay calm and stay positive--he didn't skip a beat leading us to the train station. Similarly, Peruvian Culture Tours helped us get tickets to Circuit 2 of Machu Picchu even though didn't book super far in advance (oops)!! They planned our stay in Aguas Calientes to give us multiple chances to get our tickets, and we ended up getting them thanks to our guide's careful planning. All in all, you will get amazingly personalized attention when booking with Peruvian Culture Tours--they communicate regularly and clearly and adapt seamlessly with any travel hiccups. On top of that, the tour itself was incredible. Our tour guide was knowledgeable about everything from archeology to naturalism to Incan spiritual beliefs, and he answered my many questions with patience and abundant information. This tour company is the best!

Circuit 2 is NOT guaranteed- proceed with caution
The biggest thing to know before booking: just because the excursion name says “Circuit 2” does not mean you’ll actually get Circuit 2 tickets. If it isn’t available on the official website, you likely won’t get it through this tour either. We ended up with Circuit 3A, which was beautiful, but if Circuit 2 is important to you (and I’d personally recommend it), this may not be the best option. There’s no way to contact the provider beforehand to discuss ticket availability, so it feels like a gamble. Thankfully, they helped us purchase additional Circuit 1B tickets for an extra cost, and combining the two circuits gave us a much more complete Machu Picchu experience. Overall, this is more of a logistics service than a guided tour. They handled transportation from our Airbnb in Cusco to Ollantaytambo, Peru Rail tickets, our hotel in Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu entry tickets, one-way bus tickets, and transportation back to Cusco. We still had to purchase return bus tickets ourselves, which was not listed in the exclusions. It was nice not having to coordinate everything ourselves, but there were some downsides. We had to fit in a 30-minute phone call the day before departure to review logistics, which would have been helpful earlier. All tickets are physical copies, so you must meet the provider beforehand and keep track of everything throughout the trip. You also don’t get any input on train or circuit times, and the itinerary shown at booking is not necessarily what you’ll receive. There also isn’t one consistent guide or host—you interact with multiple drivers/guides throughout the trip. That worked fine for us, but if you expect one guide from start to finish, that’s not the case. Personally, I would have skipped the Machu Picchu guide altogether. With only two hours for the circuit, there was little time to explore on our own. TL;DR: Great if you want help coordinating logistics, but there’s no guarantee which circuit or schedule you’ll end up with.
Response from the operator: Dear Layne, our Machu Picchu Circuit 2 by Panoramic Trains 2Day/1Night package has three options: Circuit 1, 2, and 3. The date you booked for Circuit 2 was unavailable. You booked Circuit 3 through Viator, and we contacted you via internal chat to inform you of your reservation and suggest adding Circuit 1, which was still available, to complete your visit. According to Viator's policies, we contact our clients to coordinate and confirm departure points and times, which we informed you of. In your case, we couldn't reach you by phone until 24 hours prior because the phone number provided to Viator is not working. We offered you private transportation from Cusco to Ollantaytambo, the Panoramic Train, a 3-star hotel, bus to Machu Picchu, a private guided tour of Machu Picchu, Circuit 1 and Circuit 3 plus Huayna Picchu mountain, and door-to-door service. We are surprised by your comment. The instructions were clear before the excursion. Our service includes a guide, drivers, and transfers. At the end of the tour, we asked you about your trip and experience, and you indicated that everything had gone wonderfully. Our guide at Machu Picchu had to be quick to explain why they decided to explore Huayna Picchu. We ask that you correct your comment for the sake of our image. We are a reputable company that has been operating for over 7 years and we have not had any problems with our operations. We have had cases where people contacted us through our official channels to inquire about availability or other matters. Sincerely David

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Machu Picchu Tour 2 Day/ 1 Night From Cusco by Panoramic Train: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does Machu Picchu Tour 2 Day/ 1 Night From Cusco by Panoramic Train cost?
+
Prices start at $515 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Machu Picchu Tour 2 Day/ 1 Night From Cusco by Panoramic Train take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is Machu Picchu Tour 2 Day/ 1 Night From Cusco by Panoramic Train worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Machu Picchu Tour 2 Day/ 1 Night From Cusco by Panoramic Train?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Machu Picchu Tour 2 Day/ 1 Night From Cusco by Panoramic Train suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 48-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Machu Picchu Tour 2 Day/ 1 Night From Cusco by Panoramic Train?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Machu Picchu Tour 2 Day/ 1 Night From Cusco by Panoramic Train start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
