Fantastic day on a fantastic tour with a fantastic tour guide!
Coast to Cork was such a great experience, I highly recommend them! Daniel is just the kind of guy to spend the day with visiting wineries. He really made it so lovely. The thought really went into picking great places that aren’t overcrowded. The wine was wonderful and the wine makers were awesome to chat with. We also moved to Sydney about a month ago and loveeeee the kangaroos, which Daniel made sure to help us find them throughout the day with the last stop having them all over the vineyards! Daniel is also extremely knowledgeable about wine and Hunter Valley, including all surrounding areas. Truly cannot recommend this tour enough! Thank you for such a great day!
Response from the operator: Thank you, what a lovely review! And the kangaroos — Daniel mentioned that one. He does love a mission, and finding them out on the vines at the last stop is about as good a finish to the day as the Hunter can offer. So glad the cellar doors felt calm and considered rather than crowded, and that you got to talk to the winemakers themselves. Come back and see us. Kylie Coast to Cork

Exceptional Tour Guides for wine country
Daniel and Kylie were our guides. We couldn’t have asked for better guides. They knew about all the wineries and selected the very best. We were treated like VIPs all along the trip. The lunch was very good at Enzo. Warning… The portions are humongous. We had so much fun. We highly recommend this tour.
Response from the operator: Lorri, thank you so much — what a joy to read! We had such a wonderful day with you and Mike and it was a pleasure to show you some of our favourite cellar doors. We love that you felt like VIPs — that's exactly the experience we want every guest to have. And yes, Enzo is something of a legend for good reason — the food is exceptional, and the portions are... generous, to say the least! We're so glad lunch was a highlight. Thank you for the recommendation and we hope to see you back in the Hunter Valley again soon. Enjoy the rest of your trip! Kylie & Daniel

Best Day Ever
I have been on a number of wine tours and far and away this was the most professional, pleasant and enjoyable. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants a low key, informative and pleasant day visiting the Hunter Valley.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this — it genuinely means a lot coming from someone who has done a number of wine tours. That's exactly the kind of day we set out to create every time: relaxed, personal, and with enough knowledge shared along the way to make every glass more interesting. We hope we get to welcome you back to the Hunter Valley again one day. 🍷 Kylie & Daniel Coast to Cork

Top notch tour
Highly recommend. A great wine tasting experience. We were picked up in Sydney in a comfortable Mercedes 9 seater. Visited 3 cellar doors with some great wines and had a lovely lunch. Daniel is the perfect guide and Lydia is super helpful with her communications and details for the tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review — we really appreciate the recommendation! We’re so glad you enjoyed the day from start to finish, especially the mix of cellar doors and that long, relaxed lunch (always a highlight 🍷). It’s great to hear the Mercedes made for a comfortable journey too — we want the whole experience to feel easy and enjoyable from the moment you’re picked up. Daniel will be delighted to hear your kind words, and I truly appreciate the mention as well — making everything smooth and clear in the lead-up is such an important part of the experience for us. Thanks again for joining us, and we’d absolutely love to have you back for another day in the Hunter!

Wineries and Roos
Pickup at the hotel was great and easy. Wineries chosen especially the Thomas Allen winery (which was outstanding) were all good. The bonus was seeing kangaroos in the wild. They were just outside of a winery resting in the shade. It was the icing on the cake.
Response from the operator: Thanks so much for the lovely review! We’re really glad the hotel pickup was smooth and that you enjoyed the winery selection — Thomas Allen is a standout, so it’s great to hear it made an impression. And spotting kangaroos in the wild really is the perfect bonus — those moments are such a special part of the Hunter Valley experience. Thanks again for joining us, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime. Cheers, Kylie & Daniel Coast to Cork 🍷

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Luxury Hunter Valley Tour | Small Grp, Gin, & Lunch Stop | Sydney: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.
How much does Luxury Hunter Valley Tour | Small Grp, Gin, & Lunch Stop | Sydney cost?
+
Prices start at $266 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Luxury Hunter Valley Tour | Small Grp, Gin, & Lunch Stop | Sydney take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.
Is Luxury Hunter Valley Tour | Small Grp, Gin, & Lunch Stop | Sydney worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Luxury Hunter Valley Tour | Small Grp, Gin, & Lunch Stop | Sydney?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Luxury Hunter Valley Tour | Small Grp, Gin, & Lunch Stop | Sydney suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Luxury Hunter Valley Tour | Small Grp, Gin, & Lunch Stop | Sydney?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Luxury Hunter Valley Tour | Small Grp, Gin, & Lunch Stop | Sydney start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sydney?
+
On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sydney?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sydney?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
