Not worth the money and time
We are visiting many places in India and our experience has been close to excellent in terms of services and money spent. This trip was one of the rare trip that I am not satisfied. We were told we will have a guide, but we just had a driver. The luxury camp wasn't luxury at all. Food was average and facility was also average. Very limited items in the breakfast and at arrival. The quality of food was below average. Later I came to know better desert camps in less money. This wasn't worth the money and time we spent. Camel ride was mostly parallel to the road that did not give a feel of riding in desert except a small stretch before the destination. The artists performing dance and music were of poor quality, but they did the best they could and we rewarded them for their best efforts.
Response from the operator: Dear RaiAjit_S, Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent experience with us. We sincerely apologize that this trip did not meet your expectations. Your satisfaction is incredibly important to us, and we regret that we fell short in delivering the level of service and quality you were hoping for. We understand how important having a guide is to enhance the experience, and we apologize for the misunderstanding. Your comments about the camp, food, and performances are valuable, and we are already reviewing these aspects with our team and partners to ensure immediate improvements. Regarding the camel ride and overall experience, we aim to create authentic and memorable adventures. We’re sorry this didn’t resonate with you as intended, and we’ll work on refining our offerings to better align with what travelers seek. We truly appreciate your acknowledgment of the efforts made by the performers and your thoughtful gesture of rewarding them. Your kindness speaks volumes. We would love the opportunity to regain your trust. If you plan to visit again, please allow us to curate a personalized experience to better match your expectations. Feel free to reach out directly to us at info@mysticjaisalmer.com. Thank you once again for helping us grow with your honest feedback. We hope to host you in the future and deliver the outstanding experience you deserve. Warm regards, Team Mystic

A nice experience
The room was comfortable and the staff very friendly and attentive. The show was entertaining. The only drawback is the food. It was spicy for our taste.

Response from the operator: Dear Madam, Thankyou for staying with us and taking time to write review. I am really glad to know that you enjoyed our desert trip, cultural evening and food as you were sharing experience with our Camp manager and while having chai with us at our apartment before leaving Jaisalmer. We don’t give any commission to any taxi driver, as your driver asked few times and wanted to go with our trip. We are sorry that after 5 hours of finishing the trip while talking to your driver you might disappointed. We cannot just refund what your driver think as well not because threaten by bad review. I am sorry that we cant refund the reason of claim was showing unexpected medical circumstances even your experience the whole tour with us happily. I hope you also like our free service as to change your dates for one month later and free accommodation at city Center with lots of chai. We still will check and reconsider about our facilities at camp and make sure that in future there will be no disappointment to our guests. Wishing you great journey. Best regards

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Luxury Camping in the Desert: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jaisalmer.
How much does Luxury Camping in the Desert cost?
+
Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jaisalmer usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Luxury Camping in the Desert take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jaisalmer is not rushed.
Is Luxury Camping in the Desert worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Jaisalmer, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Luxury Camping in the Desert?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Luxury Camping in the Desert suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Luxury Camping in the Desert?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jaisalmer can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jaisalmer and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Luxury Camping in the Desert start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jaisalmer within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Jaisalmer?
+
On Outty we rank every Jaisalmer experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Overnight Camel Safari - Sleeping under the Stars, Adventure non touristic camel safari, Overnight Desert Safari Tour Package. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Jaisalmer?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Jaisalmer?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
