    Nope!

Unfortunately, this tour did not meet our expectations and felt like it had challenges from the beginning. When booking, make sure to confirm that hotel pickup is included, especially if you are staying outside the main area. We were staying in Perast, and arranging pickup from our hotel was inconvenient and added extra cost. Our driver was friendly, but he was primarily just a driver, not a guide. When we arrived in Budva, he simply told us to “have fun,” but we were not given any information about what to see or do. We wandered around briefly and then returned to the car because we were not sure how to spend our time there. Next, we stopped in Cetinje, which was disappointing. The only stop was at a monastery that we were not able to enter, so it felt like a wasted visit. We then continued to Lovćen, which was by far the highlight of the day. The views were absolutely incredible and worth seeing. However, be aware that the entrance only accepts cash, and even the restroom requires payment, which was unexpected. The hike at Lovćen was enjoyable, but again, we found it unusual to have a “guide” who did not actually guide us or provide any information throughout the experience. The drive back was also much longer than expected due to the winding mountain roads and heavy traffic. We were supposed to return to our hotel around noon but did not arrive until 2:30 PM, leaving us tired and frustrated. Overall, this did not feel like a true guided tour experience. I would not recommend this tour as it was presented. If you are able to visit Lovćen on your own or book a tour focused specifically on that area, I would highly recommend it. The views are spectacular. However, I would skip this particular tour.

Response from the operator: Thanks for your review. On the description is mention that the guide is not included, the English speaking Driver is included .Next time you should read more carefully. If you wanted Guided English Speaking tour you should not book this activity because the guide will coast additional costs and for 220 Euro you can not get Driver, car and English Tour Guide, that excursions are much more expensive because the Tour guide is charging 120 Euro for all day. Regarding pick up I already inform you day before that you have to pay pick up because Perast is 15 kilometers away from Kotor and I we are in Kotor the tour description says that we are starting from Kotor not from Perast.

    Wonderful day In Montenegro

Wonderful four+ hours spent with Zorro, showing off his beautiful city with historical and geographical facts, beautiful scenery, an exhilarating ride up to Lovćen, and even a wonderful recommendation on where and what to eat. So much better than the large busses and groups we encountered/passes. Highly recommend

Response from the operator: Thanks 😀👍

    phenomenal!!

We visited Kotor as one of our ports of call on Mediterranean cruise. We fell in love with Kotor immediately when our cruise sailed into port of Kotor. That was a nice and beautiful morning. We met our guide Zoran at cruise gate and he led us to their office(which is 5 mins walk away) and introduced us to his son Marko. Then we got into his car and began our journey right away. Zoran was nice and caring. He introduced and showed Kotor to us in a very special way. We felt like we were visiting an old friend and he was showing his hometown with pride and joy. The road to Lovcen is absolutely beautiful. Zoran is a very skilled driver. He stopped at several spots to show us phenomenal views and took photos for us. Upon arrived at Lovcen, he told us to take our time and wait for us for next destination. We had a great time at Lovcen. The 360 degree view is totally gorgeous and breathtaking. Then we had a quick stop in Centinje. After that we went to Budva. Both places were nice and special. Since it's a private tour, we discussed and adjusted the time with Zoran on the way and everything went smoothly. We will not forget that special day in Kotor and will definitely use this family company someday when we visit Kotor again!!

Response from the operator: Amazing 🤩 thanks

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kotor.

How much does Lovcen - Symbol of Montenegrin Freedom including Budva & Cetinje cost?

    +

Prices start at $227 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kotor usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Lovcen - Symbol of Montenegrin Freedom including Budva & Cetinje take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kotor is not rushed.

Is Lovcen - Symbol of Montenegrin Freedom including Budva & Cetinje worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kotor, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Lovcen - Symbol of Montenegrin Freedom including Budva & Cetinje?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Lovcen - Symbol of Montenegrin Freedom including Budva & Cetinje suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Lovcen - Symbol of Montenegrin Freedom including Budva & Cetinje?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kotor can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kotor and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Lovcen - Symbol of Montenegrin Freedom including Budva & Cetinje start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kotor within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kotor?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kotor experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Great Montenegro Tour-Lovcen NP,Mausoleum Lovcen,River of Crnojevic,Sveti Stefan, Kotor Bay Escape: Blue Cave, Beach & Swimming Time, Exclusive Blue Cave Kotor Swim, Mamula&Lady of the Rock 3 Hour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kotor?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kotor?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
