    Yacht for 2 please!

It was a great experience! We were able to have the best experience with the whales and Nadia and Arturo were so personable! Nadia took the best photos of us and didn’t make it always at all like other experiences! I know it can be tricky and overwhelming but this experience , with this company in specific I wouldn’t let pass.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the kind words! We’re thrilled you had such a great whale watching experience. Nadia and Arturo will be so happy to hear your feedback, they truly love making every trip special. We’re glad Nadia captured some great photos for you too! Hope to see you again on the water soon. 🐋✨

    A wonderful family adventure

The boat and crew Diana set us up with was perfect for our family of 14, 6 being children under 7. The Chica 1 blue and it’s crew with Nadia as a great kids helper, deckhand and bartender along with Capt Arturo who got us up close to the arch and close enough for an amazing and safe whale encounter was a memorable adventure that we will remember and recommend to family and friends.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that the Chica 1 Blue and its amazing crew were the perfect fit for your family, especially with little ones onboard. Nadia truly is fantastic with kids, and Capt. Arturo always goes above and beyond to make the experience safe, fun, and unforgettable—especially when it comes to getting up close to the arch and whales 🐋✨ It means a lot to know this was a memorable adventure for your family, and we truly appreciate the recommendation to your friends and family. We’d love to welcome you all back again on your next Cabo visit!

    Highlight of Our Trip!

Having gone on multiple excursions and having those excursions touted as experiences of a lifetime, 80% of them fall flat on their face. This excursion was greatly underestimated and hands down was the best excursion we have ever experienced on a cruise. From the moment our group of 12 stepped on the boat, we felt safe, important, catered to, and respected by the three man crew that gave us the ultimate level of service. Going whale watching is never a guarantee, but within 15 minutes of being on the boat, we sighted our first whale and were fortunate enough to see at least a dozen more. We were then taken snorkeling and were able to see a wide variety of marine life. While on the boat, we were catered to, never went without a drink in our hand. The lunch that was served was incredibly good. Just to give you an idea of the level of service we received from this charter, we were asked to remove our shoes prior to boarding the boat and when we returned to the dock, they had all our shoes matched and lined up and waiting for us when we got off the boat, like we were royalty. I highly recommend this excursion and cannot wait to return and do it again. Thank you for making the last leg of our trip the most memorable!!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this incredible review! We’re truly honored by your kind words and thrilled to hear that this excursion exceeded your expectations—especially given your extensive experience with excursions. Our crew takes great pride in making every guest feel safe, cared for, and valued from the moment they step on board, so it means a lot to know that came through. Seeing whales so quickly, enjoying a great snorkeling experience, and ending the day with good food, drinks, and those small thoughtful touches are exactly what we aim for. We’re so happy we could make the last leg of your trip such a memorable one. Thank you for choosing us, for trusting our team, and for taking the time to share your experience. We can’t wait to welcome you back on board again soon!

    Mixed Review

We booked our Whale Watching and Snorkelling tour direct with Cabo Boat Adventures. They communicated the confirmation of our reservation on the “Sweetie Pie,” with a recommendation to arrive 15 minutes before our departure. We were very excited about the Whale Watching and Snorkelling Tour, and it was to be the highlight of my birthday week. When we arrived at the recommended time, Pablo suggested we were too early, Captain Freddie was working on the engine, and they would come get us when they were ready. After several attempts to get the crew’s attention, Pablo finally acknowledged us 20 minutes after departure time and suggested he had a couple of deck cleaning tasks to complete. We finally got on the boat a half hour late. They did not communicate clearly what the issue was - mechanical or was Captain Freddie late? As we were departing the Marina, it was confirmed we would not be whale watching as whale season was over their “small” boat could not travel that far out - despite us watching whales from our hotel every day and remember we booked a whale watching tour. I asked about the snorkelling but that too was not an option due to the rough waters along the snorkelling areas because apparently all the fishing boats were coming in. We ended up off Medano Beach listening to the wet t-shirt contest at one of the bars and smelling the fumes from the boat being repaired next to us. The snacks were as promised and very delicious, the Pacifico Light was cold and Pablo suggested he was not very good at margaritas so no one ordered one. Pablo tried to keep everything upbeat with music, picture-taking and ensured we received the three-hour time allocation, and we made the best of the situation. Our expectations were high based on other reviews, and, while we enjoyed our excursion, it was not nearly what we were expecting.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your comments and suggestions. Unfortunately, we can not control weather and winds. It's our NUMBER ONE PRIORITY to keep all guests safe. We must comply with coast guard regulations. I will relay the positive feedback to Pablo. If you wish to discuss further please call us.

Los Cabos Whale Watching & Snorkel Adventure with Food & Drinks: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cabo San Lucas.

How much does Los Cabos Whale Watching & Snorkel Adventure with Food & Drinks cost?

    +

Prices start at $999 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cabo San Lucas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Los Cabos Whale Watching & Snorkel Adventure with Food & Drinks take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cabo San Lucas is not rushed.

Is Los Cabos Whale Watching & Snorkel Adventure with Food & Drinks worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cabo San Lucas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Los Cabos Whale Watching & Snorkel Adventure with Food & Drinks?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Los Cabos Whale Watching & Snorkel Adventure with Food & Drinks suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Los Cabos Whale Watching & Snorkel Adventure with Food & Drinks?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cabo San Lucas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cabo San Lucas and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Los Cabos Whale Watching & Snorkel Adventure with Food & Drinks start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cabo San Lucas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cabo San Lucas?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cabo San Lucas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Humpback Whale Watching Tour in Cabo San Lucas, Cabo Desert Off-Road & Beach Horseback Combo and Tequila Tasting, Cabo All-Inclusive Private Beach Club with Open Bar and Buffet. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cabo San Lucas?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cabo San Lucas?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
