Varied beautiful bike ride in which you get a good impression of the life of the locals

This bike tour is highly recommended if you want to see what the local (farming) life is like. Tour guide Ikhsan and his team also do everything to make it an unforgettable experience. We cycled through plantations for rice, red and green peppers, peanuts, aubergines and broccoli, but also past countless houses in villages where the locals continuously greet you warmly. Half fried banana and soto ayam eaten with a coconut where you could drink the juice with a straw. Afterwards we had a nice chat with Ikhsan. He speaks good English, shows a lot of interest in his customers, is smiling and likes a joke. All in all had a great afternoon!

    Wasted day

Didn't turn up for the hotel pick up , after waiting for 30minutes contacted them via WhatsApp, took another 15minutes to get a reply stating they weren't coming due to driver illness. I get that these things happen but they should of been informing me as soon as they knew rather than me wasting my time hanging around in a hotel lobby and also having a day wasted. Plus getting a refund takes several days and isn't that straight forward. Sorry can't recommend this company particularly following the excellent standards set by other your companies I have used in Java

    Do this tour!!!

I went on the cycling tour with the batik course....it ended up being my favorite day in Java!!! So refreshing to see another side of the island, it almost felt like a behind the scenes look at local life. Words can't express how amazing it was to get out of the city and into the beautiful countryside! The best part was Tari the tour guide, she was outstanding, best guide by far that I had in Java!!! Even though I was by myself, we had a great time the whole day, lots to talk about and lots of laughing. I was actually sad to part ways at the end of the day. I'll never forget this experience or the people I was lucky enough to meet! I only wish I found them earlier and could have done more adventures with them. Do this tour! You won't regret it.

Response from the operator: Hello Mrs Jesse Thank you for taking your time to write a review and entrust Yogyakarta Local Tour as your travel patner. We are very glad you can enjoyed our tours. We hope to meet you again in another opportunity. Thank you, see you! Regards, Yogyakarta Local Tours.

    It's peaceful and relaxing.

Some cats are all kind and relaxed. It's also neat and stress-free. The village is also full of friendly people, so I want to stay for a while as well as this tour. I want to go back with the experience rather than seeing it.

Response from the operator: Hello Mr Mug Thank you for taking your time to write a review and entrust Yogyakarta Local Tour as your travel patner. We are very glad you can enjoyed our tours. We hope to meet you again in another opportunity. Thank you, see you! Regards, Yogyakarta Local Tours.

Local Bicycle Tours Jogjakarta: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Yogyakarta.

How much does Local Bicycle Tours Jogjakarta cost?

    +

Prices start at $24 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Yogyakarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Local Bicycle Tours Jogjakarta take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Yogyakarta is not rushed.

Is Local Bicycle Tours Jogjakarta worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Yogyakarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Local Bicycle Tours Jogjakarta?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Local Bicycle Tours Jogjakarta suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Local Bicycle Tours Jogjakarta?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Yogyakarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Yogyakarta and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Local Bicycle Tours Jogjakarta start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Yogyakarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Yogyakarta?

    +

On Outty we rank every Yogyakarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Yogyakarta Private Car Hire with Driver, From Surabaya / Malang : Mt Bromo Sunrise - Ijen Blue Fire 2D1N, Borobudur Full Climb Up And Prambanan ALL INCLUSIVE PRIVATE Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Yogyakarta?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Yogyakarta?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
