    A very relaxing experience

Joined as a solo participant and felt comfortable right away. Sitting on stone steps sketching street scenes alongside a small group of people was a surprisingly grounding experience. Very casual and friendly setup.

    A quiet afternoon spent sketching

Nice change of pace from the usual sightseeing. The pace was slow, which was helpful given Lisbon’s hills. Sitting down for 20 minutes at a time to sketch really makes you pay attention to details in the architecture that you usually just walk past.

    One-on-one Tour just for me!

This was an amazing sketching tour! In a one-on-one private tour of the neighbourhoods surrounding Barrio Alta, Nat guided both my hand and my eye to develop more confidence in my urban sketching skills and to see some of the hidden gems of the area. She adapted the program to fit my physical needs since the marble cobblestones here can be difficult for my knee, but also my artistic development needs since I am more accustomed to a “quick and dirty” drawing style that sometimes sacrifices accuracy for expression. Nat helped me slow down so that my hand and eye were in sync and I could fall into flow. She also fed my information about the history of Portugal and Lisbon and answered my many questions. I hope to see her current exhibit at the natural history museum before we leave and loved her company. It felt like meeting a new friend and getting to know her home town all at once. I took the rest of my family to a few of our sketching spots so that they too could benefit. Thank you again Nat and I hope your endeavours continue growing.

    Lisbon inspired!

This is an activity I’ve actually lead professionally in another European capital for decades as an US art school faculty member and I can testify that Natercia has her craft down-pat! Her breadth of knowledge of the city is impressive and I appreciated her constant attention to satisfying my specific interests about Lisbon, its culture, its history and the different environments we traversed while drawing. An experience not to be missed if you love to draw and want to see the city from a whole different light. Highly recommended.

Response from the operator: Thank you — high praise indeed from someone who knows what it takes to lead an experience like this well. Lisbon has a particular quality of light and texture that rewards those who stop to look properly, and we're glad the day offered that. Hope the sketches turned out beautifully. Rui

    ABSOLUTE 5-STARS! 🚀

Natercia is the insider's insider 😊, knowing exactly which art spots to hit and which hidden gems to sneak in. She's been a perfect guide for our Bridgewater State University, Massachusetts art students, immersing them in Lisbon's vibrant art scene. Over eight years, she's worked with me and my groups in multiple capacities, providing valuable insights and support. The watercolor program she offers sounds like a great addition, letting visitors create postcards and memories with guidance from a professional artist and Lisbon native. Literally, teaching others HOW to see and experience Lisbon. Students have connected with her on cultural, artistic, and logistical levels, appreciating her resourcefulness beyond the study abroad experiences. One of the highlights was to match an art opening in one evening visit to the “open museum night”. We would have missed it if it wasn’t for her ear to the ground. It was fantastic.

Response from the operator: Thank you - The city has layers that only reveal themselves to those who know where to look.

Lisbon Sketching Tour and Discover Hidden Views and Art: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Lisbon Sketching Tour and Discover Hidden Views and Art cost?

    +

Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Lisbon Sketching Tour and Discover Hidden Views and Art take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Lisbon Sketching Tour and Discover Hidden Views and Art worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Lisbon Sketching Tour and Discover Hidden Views and Art?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Lisbon Sketching Tour and Discover Hidden Views and Art suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Lisbon Sketching Tour and Discover Hidden Views and Art?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Lisbon Sketching Tour and Discover Hidden Views and Art start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
