About this experience
This tour is perfect for those who want to get acquanted with the city and its successive changes, with the leggacy of the different civilizations from the Romans to the Arabs, and the inovative urban layout after the great earthquake of 1755. Lisbon is considered by many to be one of the most spectacular European cities, where the perfume of its “designer” shops mixes with its the human warmth.. Getting to know this city with us is traveling back in time, in a comfortable way, with something to discover in every corner, like its delicacies, where the Pastel de Belem reigns supreme.

Walkborder and hugo the best!
Hugo was incredible. The entire process was smooth, quick, and easy. I looked through numerous tours and was unsure who choose, and after a recommendation, I’m extremely happy I went w Hugo. Did it as we wanted, our speed and accommodated our young daughter and kept super interesting.

Great tour with Marco
We were looking for a Lisbon tour and didn't have time to see Sintra, Fatima or tourist shopping, so we wanted a focus on the downtown area and history with a more local flavor. Manual and the driver did a great job in avoiding the crowds by walking the less traveled routes without missing the highlights we asked for. We learned a lot about the history and life in Lisbon while seeing the highlights. We had a great lunch that was devoid of tourists and busy with locals, yet making us feel welcome.

The best way to get around Lisbon
This tour was amazing very informative. Our driver . Pedro was amazing. We covered so much of Lisbon in the eight hour tour. The young man was very knowledgeable a native of Lisbon. I was so impressed could not have seen all that we’ve seen in one trip. We made many stops along the way we stopped and had lunch. It was just fantastic.
Response from the operator: Hi Marvin, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear that you had such a fantastic experience on your Lisbon private tour. It is great to know that Pedro made such a positive impression; being a Lisbon native, he truly loves sharing the hidden gems and history of his city with our guests. Covering Lisbon in eight hours is a journey, and we are glad the pace and the stops, including that lunch break were perfect for you. Providing an informative and comprehensive experience is exactly what we strive for. We hope to welcome you back to Portugal soon for more discoveries! Best regards,

The long and winding road around 7 hills
Paula was a wonderful tour guide. We told her up front that some of the mentioned stops weren't going to work for us given my husband's disability and our interests. She was great. She modified the tour on the go, and we were very pleased with the tour. She dropped us off in front of venues and parked her car and waited for us to get back. This minimized our walking, which we appreciated. Paula strongest attribute is her enthusiasm fur her home town. And how she knows how to get around all these winding steep roads is truly amazing. I highly recommend Paula and this tour.

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Lisbon Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Lisbon Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Lisbon Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Lisbon Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 41 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Lisbon Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Lisbon Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Lisbon Private Tour?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Lisbon Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
