What you'll see and do
Oceanario de Lisboa
A visit to the Oceanário de Lisboa is a unique experience that will take you to know and feel the unforgettable magic of the underwater world. Embark on this contemplative journey to discover 8000 sea creatures, from 500 different species. The permanent exhibition (Aquarium) celebrates life on Earth with a central 5-million-liter saltwater aquarium surrounded by four marine habitats representing habitats of the North Atlantic, Antarctic*, Temperate Pacific, and Tropical Indian Ocean, creating the illusion that we are looking at one aquarium and one ocean. The visit takes place on two levels, terrestrial and underwater, crossing the temperate, tropical, and cold waters of the different oceans of the planet. Discover also the «Forests Underwater», a work by master Takashi Amano, who presents us with tropical forests through the largest nature aquarium in the world and the new «Submerged Universe» exhibition, an immersive journey into the immensity of the ocean.

Lisbon Aquarium
Brilliant aquarium, loads of different settings, thousands of interesting sea creatures. Well worth the admission fee, I was in there for about two and a half hours, I would have stayed longer except I had to sit down. Not too crowded, but quite noisy. The staff were very helpful and professional. Book your ticket online, so you don't have to queue.

Too many people
A lovely large aquarium but they let in way too many people. For the price of what you pay I don’t think it is worth it . Even with ticket have to queue to get in and inside it is Very crowded - hard to get to the front of the glass

Couple at the Oceanário!
We went to the Oceanário starting at 13h, it wasn't that busy but the noise of children is present. We were able to see everything and people were nice, taking turns occupying the best view of certain aquariums. I personally think it was pricey but the Oceanário is really big and they help with projects for the well being of oceans all around the world. We were there in total for about 2 and half hours and that was enough to be tired but satisfied. My favourite exposition is the temporary tropical forest and the otters! Everyone loves otters! PS: Photos were taken by my 10 year old niece, enjoy :)

Far Too Many People!
Booked tickets for her halfway through a 7 mile walk from the cruise ship we were on. Given a time slot. The aquarium itself is very good. Large central aquarium with other smaller exhibits around. The problem was there were far too many people there. Struggled to get a look at the exhibits at times. Being only 5' tall, I felt pushed around by other people.

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Lisbon Oceanario: Aquarium Entrance Ticket: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Lisbon Oceanario: Aquarium Entrance Ticket cost?
+
Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Lisbon Oceanario: Aquarium Entrance Ticket take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Lisbon Oceanario: Aquarium Entrance Ticket worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 1,576 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Lisbon Oceanario: Aquarium Entrance Ticket?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Lisbon Oceanario: Aquarium Entrance Ticket suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Lisbon Oceanario: Aquarium Entrance Ticket?
+
Around 552 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Lisbon Oceanario: Aquarium Entrance Ticket start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
