    Best personalized tour

Here’s a polished, natural version of your review: We had the best time on this tour! Elisabete was our guide, and when I say she knows the history of Portugal, I truly mean she is an expert. She shared so much fascinating information at every stop and even took the time to answer all of my random questions. I like asking locals about everyday life, culture, and traditions—not just the typical tourist questions—and she was able to answer everything, making the experience feel personal and authentic. Elisabete was also incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. The vehicle was clean and she was a real safe driver. We even had the opportunity to meet her husband, who co-owns the company with her. If he’s anything like Elisabete, I’m sure he’s an amazing guide as well. It’s clear they both genuinely love what they do and are passionate about sharing their beautiful country with visitors. When I return to Portugal—and I definitely will—I wouldn’t book with anyone else. After researching several companies, I can confidently say I highly recommend this one if you’re looking for an authentic, unforgettable experience. Thank you, Elisabete, for creating memories my family and I will cherish forever. We loved every minute of it!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words. I truly appreciate your feedback. Hope that you are having an amazing time. See you next time (soon).

    Alex the Excellent Guide

Alex was an excellent guide—informative, interesting, and attentive. His command of English and Portuguese history were academic-level, without being pedantic. Highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review! It was a pleasure guiding you and sharing Portugal's history in a way that felt engaging and natural. I truly appreciate your thoughtful words—striking that balance between depth and accessibility is something I always strive for, so your feedback means a lot to me. Thank you for your recommendation, and I hope to welcome you back to Portugal someday! Warm regards, Alex

Fabulous Lisbon Layover Tour with Elisabete!

Totally private experience for two of us with Elisabete who was fantastic! Excellent communication beforehand. Confirmed all of our travel logistics. Picked us up at airport without any issues. Met us inside terminal. Had new, clean Mercedes van - plenty of room. Wonderful tour around Lisbon for four hours. Covered all the key stops. Elisabete made sure to accommodate our interests in with great local food stops. Very engaging the whole time. Dropped us at train station after for our train to South Portugal. Elisabete is very patient, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Shares fascinating Portuguese history in easy—to-digest way. Highly recommend Elisabete and the layover tour!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your review. It was great to meet you and show you Lisbon.

    Lisbon Layover: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Lisbon Layover cost?

    +

Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Lisbon Layover take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

    Is Lisbon Layover worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 206 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Lisbon Layover?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Lisbon Layover suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Lisbon Layover?

    +

Around 72 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Lisbon Layover start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
