    About this experience

Immerse yourself fully in Portugal's traditions through food, wine, and music! Your 4-stop journey begins in a typical tavern, moving to an iconic traditional restaurant for beloved local petiscos. Next, step inside a whimsically original century-old bar to savor traditional spirits in a unique atmosphere. Finally, feel the true passion of Fado at an exclusive 'Casa de Fado'. Food and Fado are abundant in Lisbon, the tricky thing is finding the authentic places where to enjoy not just any food but great food and deeply moving professional Fado instead of tourist trap amateurs. Food was amazing and the venues themselves were fascinating

Our friendly and knowledgeable local guide Darida met us shortly before 7pm and was undaunted when our first local restaurant had suddenly decided to close for this weekend in August. Darida found another nice local place for us to begin our tour with a small snack and to sample a delicious local cherry liqueur. The main course was down the street at an historic restaurant where we were served an amazing truffle dish and the most tender and flavorful tuna with an herbaceous sauce together with local vino verde. We next visited a “speakeasy” style bar catering to local patrons. Definitely not a tourist trap. It was called something like Chinese pavilion and was full of interesting collections of trains, toys, hats, historical memorabilia etc. We were having such a great time exploring this stop and chatting with PhD student Darida that we had to rush over to our 10pm fado show, complete with great local desserts and white port wine. Two different fado singers, one male and one female, performed to a mostly local crowd who sang along with one chorus in Portuguese. This was a truly memorable evening.

Book this tour immediately! Incredible experience!

Absolutely amazing experience, and a must while in Lisbon! We went to some of the best places to eat in Lisbon! We had a great time, ate delicious food (Faz Frío is an absolute MUST!) The fado performance was such a treat and a great way to experience the culture! Thomas was the most personable guide we’ve ever had, I felt truly like we were having dinner with an old friend! He was an absolute wealth of information about the city, the food, the culture, and fado! He even helped us choose where and what to eat the next evening! 100% the best food tour we have ever done while traveling!

Great way to taste local food!

Great tour! Our guide, Darida was awesome. The 4 places we went to were great. We got to try the local beer with appetizers, dinner dishes with wine, dessert with port wine, & more wine at a secret spot. My only disappointment was the fado “show”. The singer was so good but it was too short, only 2 songs.

Amazing food tour and Fado show

Our food tour was amazing! The food was delicious and she explained what we were eating and the culture behind it. She also took us to a very unique and interesting bar FULL of collections of everything! The dessert at the Fado show was the best chocolate mousse I have ever had and the acoustics were spectacular! Highly highly recommend this tour!

    Excellent!! Highly recommend!

Thomas and Joana were the absolute best tour guides. We have done tours in many other countries and they have topped all of them. They are both extremely personable and welcoming. The tour was absolutely amazing and showed us a side of the city that we otherwise would not have had the opportunity to experience. Their knowledge of the city’s history, culture, and traditions made every stop meaningful, and their enthusiasm was contagious. I would recommend a private tour with either one of them to make the experience more customizable and special. They were able to give us fantastic recommendations on how to spend the rest of our time in the city. The dining experiences were amazing and they were able to explain lots of history and knowledge about the city and the country. The fado show was a perfect ending to the night. They made the experience feel personal, authentic, and truly special. I could not recommend Thomas and Joana enough, when we return they will be the first we reach out to.

Lisbon Food Tour with 4 Stops and Fado Show Performance: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Lisbon Food Tour with 4 Stops and Fado Show Performance cost?

    +

Prices start at $99 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Lisbon Food Tour with 4 Stops and Fado Show Performance take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Lisbon Food Tour with 4 Stops and Fado Show Performance worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 73 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Lisbon Food Tour with 4 Stops and Fado Show Performance?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Lisbon Food Tour with 4 Stops and Fado Show Performance suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Lisbon Food Tour with 4 Stops and Fado Show Performance?

    +

Around 26 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Lisbon Food Tour with 4 Stops and Fado Show Performance start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
