    What an amazing tour!

Our Guide Francisco was increadibly knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Sintra. He was an excellent guide and made sure to accommodate the needs of small group as they arrised. Sintra was a town that I would love to explore again. The town was not crowed in February and the restaurant that our guide suggested was delicious. The town seemed like something out of a storybook with its castles and mysterious garden paths. Sintra is worth a revisit for sure. I have already recommended this tour to my friends. If you love history this tour is for you. Francisco was patient and very flexible and never rushed us. I would have liked to spend more time here but to be honest that was our fault, we had leisurely lunches but that is also part of the expedience. It never seemed too busy, and our guide knew the best times to explore the sites. Crowd size was good. I have done several bus tours and I loved the smaller, personalized tour. We definitely got our money's worth and then some out of this tour. We never had to worry about tickets our guide had everything arranged for us. I am Portuguese and this was my first visit, I felt like I was home even though I had never been here before. The mood of the town was upbeat and the locals were very friendly. If I could do this tour again I may have spent more time in Sintra, there is so much to explore. This place is worth visiting again.

We stopped in Belem and cascais and then in Sintra. That was 1 of 3 tours. Francisco knows so much about the history of Portugal and he's such a nice person, so patient. Im definitely coming back to stay in cascais.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
