Great experience with Driver Oka

The trip was amazing. Took around 3 hours to for our turn for photo in Lempuyang temple, in the meanwhile we sat in the cafe and enjoyed the breakfast with great views. Then went to water palace and took photos in great ambiance and fed fish in the pool. Water was the best part on the way back. It was a bit a walk . Remember to bring sleepers and ponchos if you dont wanna get wet.

Lempuyang Temple - East Full Day Tour - Bali Driver Recommended Tour Service - Darmika - (Viator)

On this tour, booked with Viator, operated by “Bali Driver Recommended Tour Service”. The tour company could not remember if they had to take guests (us) on a tour the following day! They managed to find a driver at midnight to drive us on this tour. The driver was Darmika. He did not speak understandable English. He did not offer any guide service nor was he aware of any info on the sites visited. His driving was very rough with abrupt and sudden braking. I definitely recommend the itinerary of this tour but NOT with this tour company. I wonder how Viator select its tour partners! In my opinion, Viator should take responsibility and refund the tour money we paid. W see the guests had to pay all entry fees as per the itinerary. It was just over three hours drive to Lempuyang Temple. First we paid IDR 45k pp for a bus ride from car park to the top of the hill. We then paid IDR 70k pp for to enter the outer compound of the temple. It’s not possible to take pictures of the “Gate to haven” with Agung mountain in the backdrop unless you are prepared to wait in a very long queue. Personal opinion, “not worth”. Visited Tirta Gangga A Water Palace. A beautiful place but a bit chaotic when we were there. It felt as if we were in a photographic park. Tenganan Ancient Village was a great stop. Saw the skills of weaving first hand. Goa Lawah Temple is an excellent small temple that you can visit inside. Try and go close to the mouth of the cave and look up towards the ceiling and you will see thousands of bats.

DON'T TAKE THIS TOUR WITH THIS OPERATOR!!!

PLEASE DON'T TAKE THIS TOUR WITH THIS OPERATOR!! Ihave used Viator for excursions all over the world, and this by far was THEE WORST!! I was collected on time from my hotel. I don't recall whether the driver introduced himself. We drove in silence for 3 hours. NOT A COMMENT from him. We arrive at the highlight of the trip, Gateway to Heaven. There was a steep hill climb up to the site. I was given a ticket number, not knowing that this is the number used to take your picture. This was not a problem for me. I wandered around the grounds, with no direction, guidance, or comment from "what's his name." He eventually came to me and asked about the photo in front of the Gateway to Heaven. I hurriedly said yes. He then explained that the photographers, using your phone, were on number 125 and my number was 204. I replied "So??" He mumbled what I thought was we'd go somewhere else and circle back. When we got back down the hill and walking to the car, I said we're coming back at what time. He said no no it would take too long for the picture. You are 204 they are just on 125. What da what?? I was in total disbelief!!! Taking THAT picture was the primary reason for the 3-hour drive. This guy is crazy. I was so upset and it was soooo hot. I told him of my anger and reason for being there. At this point I was done and ready to get away from this guy. He knew I was seething. We made a stop somewhere. At this point, I didn't care. He ended up getting lost and had to ask for directions. I had to laugh to keep from yelling out. I said I'm done with this tour, take me back to my hotel. Another 3 hours and my tour from hell ended. PLEASE DON'T TAKE THIS TOUR WITH THIS OPERATOR!!

Lempuyang Temple - East Full Day Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seminyak.

How much does Lempuyang Temple - East Full Day Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seminyak usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Lempuyang Temple - East Full Day Tour take?

+

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seminyak is not rushed.

Is Lempuyang Temple - East Full Day Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seminyak, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Lempuyang Temple - East Full Day Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Lempuyang Temple - East Full Day Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Lempuyang Temple - East Full Day Tour?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seminyak can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seminyak and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Lempuyang Temple - East Full Day Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seminyak within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Seminyak?

+

On Outty we rank every Seminyak experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Bali Waterfalls: Tibumana, Tukad Cepung and Tegenungan, Bali Instagram Tour: The Most Scenic Spots, Ubud Hot Springs and Waterfall Private Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Seminyak?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Seminyak?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
