    Best tour in Bali!

We had the absolute best experience with Ma-de! If you’re booking this tour, do yourself a favor and request Ma-de he is truly one of the best guides we’ve ever had. Our day started with a 7:00 AM pickup from our hotel. Ma-de actually arrived early and patiently waited for us when we were running late. From the moment he greeted us, he was incredibly warm, friendly, and accommodating. Before we even started, he went through a checklist of everything we should bring with us. Thank goodness he did, because we would have completely forgotten a change of clothes! Throughout the entire day, Ma-de went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, taken care of, and having an amazing time. At every stop, he didn’t just show us the sights, he explained the history, traditions, culture, and stories behind them, which made the entire experience so much more meaningful. Our first stop was a beautiful waterfall, where Ma-de made sure everything went smoothly and even helped us get to the front of the line for what has to be one of the most iconic waterfall photo spots in Bali. He was incredibly helpful and somehow always seemed to know exactly what to do to make the experience better. At the next waterfall, he explained how the people of Bali use the natural water systems to grow rice and taught us about farming methods and traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. It was fascinating to learn how deeply connected the Balinese people are to the land and water. One of my favorite parts of the entire tour actually came from a completely random conversation. On the walk back to the car, I mentioned that I had discovered a fruit at breakfast that I had never tried before. Ma-de immediately started telling me about all the different fruits native to Bali and introduced me to so many that I had never even heard of! I ended up buying some from a local shop, and they were absolutely delicious. On the way to the rice terraces, where Ma-de taught us about the history and traditions surrounding the rice fields and the incredible irrigation systems, he also took us to a coffee plantation. He guided us through the entire process, from how the coffee beans are grown to how they are prepared, and even connected it back to all the different fruits and plants he had introduced me to earlier. And yes we got to try the famous Luwak coffee and even pet the Luwak, which was such a cool experience! We also sampled a huge variety of teas and coffee made from different fruits and herbs, including a tea made from the same fruit I had discovered at breakfast. Of course, we ended up buying a big box of it to take home. What really made this tour stand out, though, was Ma-de himself. He was knowledgeable without ever making things feel like a lecture, incredibly personable, genuinely caring, and always willing to go the extra mile. By the end of the day, it honestly felt less like we had a tour guide and more like we had a friend showing us around his beautiful home. This tour is absolutely something you should not miss while in Bali. And if you have the option, REQUEST MA-DE. He is knowledgeable, kind, funny, incredibly accommodating, and truly made our entire day unforgettable. Ma-de, you are the absolute BEST! We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. 🙏🏼🇮🇩

    10/10 Tour

We had an excellent day with Ma-de. The entire itinerary was perfect. We even stopped at the coffee plantation and were able to sample a variety of coffee. Ma-de did a great job at teaching us history and taking many photographs. Would definitely recommend this tour.

How much does Ubud Top Attractions: Waterfalls, Temples and Rice Terraces cost?

    +

Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ubud Top Attractions: Waterfalls, Temples and Rice Terraces take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.

Is Ubud Top Attractions: Waterfalls, Temples and Rice Terraces worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 94 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 671 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ubud Top Attractions: Waterfalls, Temples and Rice Terraces?

    +

Is Ubud Top Attractions: Waterfalls, Temples and Rice Terraces suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

    +

Around 235 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ubud Top Attractions: Waterfalls, Temples and Rice Terraces start and how do I get there?

    +

What are the best things to do in Ubud?

    +

On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ubud?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ubud?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
