Do better Legoland
Pros: Ride, movie theater, building blocks, playground indoor, lots of play space. Snacks & drinks. Cons: it got really dirty here 2025/2026. The entire area is filthy. The indoor play area smells like urine & wet socks. Many of the LEGO blocks are sticky. The VR headsets smell. The movie room smells and has sticky floor sling either dirty seating. This whole place needs professional cleaning from a reputable company. Oh and the bathrooms are horrendously dirty. Summary : we don’t renew our annual pass after having them two years in a row, unless we here some major cleaning gas been done. The snacks and drinks are low quality too. Admission Fee was fair when it used to be clean. You can easily spend 2 hours here … when it was clean. My kids wanted to leave after 20 minutes because of filth. It used to be a fun & convenient place to go to.

Surprised and delighted
My daughter, 6 year old grandson and myself had a GREAT time. Check out the “dungeons” princess ride, outstanding legoland Detroit,MI. and the wizard pedal ride -we played at all of the activity experiences my grandson selected.

Good place for a field trip...for the most part
The activities in Legoland are very good. All 30 elementary students (ranging from 6 to 11 years old) enjoyed this field trip. They do not permit outside food and the prices for their cafe were ridiculous ($5 for just a hot dog)! Our students brought their lunches, but once we exited the venue, they would not let us re-enter. We will likely go back but will chose an earlier entrance time to make the most of the visit.

Awesome Family Fun
The Lego Mini City was amazing with great details and the 4D Lego movies were awesome as well as the build your own race cars and marine life.

Save Your Money
This was overpriced and incredibly underwhelming. We tried to make it enjoyable, but it was just so boring. There were some neat aspects, like the lego replica of Detroit landmarks. However, not worth the money or effort of going. Our 6-year-old grandson had more fun playing in the food court in the middle of the mall.

Why this scores 52
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Michigan Admission Ticket: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Detroit.
How much does LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Michigan Admission Ticket cost?
+
Prices start at $22 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Detroit usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Michigan Admission Ticket take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Detroit is not rushed.
Is LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Michigan Admission Ticket worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 68 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Detroit, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Michigan Admission Ticket?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Michigan Admission Ticket suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Michigan Admission Ticket?
+
Around 24 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Detroit can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Detroit and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Michigan Admission Ticket start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Detroit within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Detroit?
+
Detroit tours cover Motown Museum and music history, Eastern Market murals, Ford factory and auto heritage, riverfront cycling and Belle Isle, plus a strong food-tour scene. On Outty we rank every Detroit experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best Detroit Architecture Walking Tour: Inside Access & Landmarks, Detroit Sweet Treats Food Tour: Donuts, Coffee, Pastries & More, Detroit's Hidden History Guided Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Detroit?
+
May to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Detroit?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
