Loved our Visit to Belle Isle
We thoroughly enjoyed our private Belle Isle tour with our guide, Naeem. He was flexible with our itinerary, moving to indoor venues during some brief rainy periods and advising us as to closing times so we could maximize our time at the Belle Isle Aquarium and the Dossin Great Lakes Museum. He was patient, very sweet and likeable. He didn’t rush us at all so we could really relax and take as much time as we wanted at exhibits. It was lovely to be picked up right on time at our hotel, and to not have to worry about the driving to Belle Isle, or to the various points of interest on the island. Belle Isle is an amazing place! Its history as a wonderful public park belonging the City of Detroit its people that fell into neglect and disrepair is sad but seeing all the restoration projects going on now is fascinating and uplifting. We highly recommend a visit!
