Great dolphin and whale viewing day
Well worth the trip. We saw both dolphins and Pilot whales. The dolphins put on an acrobatic show, with flips and turns in the air! Recommend this excursion, and like their commitment and caring of marine life.

A wonderful 90 minutes at sea. Highly recommend.
We went hoping to see some wildlife and as this is a no chase tour we expected it would be at a distance. We were wrong. We saw turtles and pilot whales who came to the boat off their accord and swam underneath us to come out the other side. It was magical, the operators also educated people on the boat about animal parks and how whales and dolphins are captured for this. It was playing in the background and not shoved in your face. A lovely 90 minutes out at sea and it’s nice knowing your money helps charities nationwide.

Outstanding!
Absolutely amazing experience and incredible value for money. Within 15 minutes of setting off we saw our first dolphins and we watched them playing and jumping for a good 10 minutes before they were joined by others! That alone would have made the whole trip unforgettable but then we headed a little further out and came across the pilot whale families! So beautiful and serene, it really was unreal- made the hairs on my arms stand up ❤️ To top off what had already been a perfect trip, on the way back in we cruised past 3 turtles and saw some flying fish 🤷 The staff were super professional, friendly and knowledgeable and I really can't recommend this excursion enough for anyone looking to create a lifelong memory during their stay in Tenerife 👌🏻

A 2-hour trip that lasted only 85 minutes - poor value for money
Overall an unsatisfactory experience. The boat was fine and the staff onboard were okay. We got to see some pilot whales and had a long-distance glimpse of some dolphins. HOWEVER, 1. The trip that is clearly advertised as a 2-hour trip, actually lasted less than 90 minutes - just under 85 minutes to be precise. Is Tripadvisor or the tour operator going to refund 33% of the ticket value? 2. The 'running commentary' by the staff onboard necessarily had to be in many languages - we understand that. There was very little said in English - so it was of very little benefit to us. 3. The direction was not very clear - took us a bit of asking around to find the correct place. Not a major problem, but so easily could have been made easier - considering that most of the people were NOT from Tenerife. However, it is the ultra-short duration of the trip that spoilt the mood. We easily cood have spent a few more minutes looking at the dolphins or looking for some turtles. I suppose the staff were in a rush!

Fantastic experience
Fantastic experience. We had chance to see Pilot Whales, but no dolphins or turtles. We encountered quite few of them and one was with only few days old calf. Took some nice pictures. Staff was very friendly and provided guide in few languages. A lot of room on the boat. Was quite choppy but still felt safe. I would highly recommend this experience.

Why this scores 82
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Leaders in Eco Respectful No chase whale and dolphin encounters: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.
How much does Leaders in Eco Respectful No chase whale and dolphin encounters cost?
+
Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Leaders in Eco Respectful No chase whale and dolphin encounters take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.
Is Leaders in Eco Respectful No chase whale and dolphin encounters worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 2,255 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Leaders in Eco Respectful No chase whale and dolphin encounters?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Leaders in Eco Respectful No chase whale and dolphin encounters suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Leaders in Eco Respectful No chase whale and dolphin encounters?
+
Around 789 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Leaders in Eco Respectful No chase whale and dolphin encounters start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tenerife?
+
On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tenerife?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tenerife?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
