About this experience
We start from the Los Gigantes Cliffs marina, from where we head southwest sailing a few miles away from the coast in search of our main objective, to spot some of the families of Cetaceans such as the Calderones Tropicales that reside in this area, to head then towards Los Gigantes Cliffs, a place of special beauty that also has a great diversity of sea birds and the possibility of seeing some type of sea turtles. To finish the excursion, after doing the whale watching, we anchor somewhere near the coast, we always look for the most comfortable place for our clients where you can enjoy a bath or snorkel.

What you'll see and do
Acantilado de los Gigantes
We will make you enjoy it in a different way, without stress, We will sail towards the island of La Gomera, with the impressive Los Gigantes Cliffs in the background. For the first inhabitants of Tenerife, the world ended in the extreme northwest of the island, where an impassable rock wall stood. It was about what is now known as Los Gigantes cliffs, at this point is where our journey begins. Los Gigantes respond to the classification of ancient cliff, product of the modeling of an old massif and is appreciated, for its proportions, as a mega cliff. It measures between 300 and 600 m and is buried in the water no more than 30 m deep. Its walls are not uniform, they also present the traces of erosion, leaving some ravines hanging with difficult access; some virgin beaches and coves are also present along this coastline. In our navigation we will carry out the activity of Cetacean Watching Tenerife.

We had a wonderful trip...
We had a wonderful trip to see multiple pods of pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins! The captain and guide were extremely knowledgeable. We stopped for a quick and cold swim by the cliffs. I can’t recommend this experience enough!

Super nice experience! A very responsible tour I can recommend
We did the tour yesterday with Jakob and it was amazing. We are currently looking into sustainable and animal-friendly whale tours in Tenerife for work so I was very happy to participate in this one. I can really recommend it! It is super nice to be on a sail boat with the views of los gigantes and you also get a lunch and education on the area as well as the animals. It is definitely worth choosing this tour and to do it responsibly. And also the crew are amazing people!

Great whale watching trip
Lovely boat trip. Saw several pilot whales (mostly females with their calves); the captain turned of the engine and the whales seemed to surround us and just hang out. Amazing. And the lunch was good too!

Almost missed the boat.
The meeting spot that they provided was not where the boat was and they left without us, but came back to the dock once we texted them. The boat trip was ok the boat captain was great but the boat guide was condescending and not very nice.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding the meeting point. It is true that the published information was not properly updated, and we have recently corrected it to prevent this from happening again. However, the day before the excursion we sent you a WhatsApp message to confirm the booking, which also included the correct meeting point, but we did not receive a reply. Before departure, we also tried calling you by phone without success, and sent another WhatsApp message in an attempt to reach you. Finally, at 13:11 we were able to get in touch with you via WhatsApp. Although the boat had already departed with the rest of the guests, it returned to the dock to pick you up, which resulted in a delay of approximately 15 minutes for the excursion. We are pleased to hear that the captain met your expectations. Regarding your comment about the guide, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We will speak with the crew to better understand what happened and to ensure that the service provided is always friendly and professional. We are sorry about the two star rating, as we truly believe we did everything within our reach to ensure you could still enjoy the excursion despite the unforeseen circumstances. We always strive to do our very best so our guests can have a great experience. Thank you again for your feedback, it helps us continue improving.

Great experience
Perfect service, got to see the wales very close to the boat. Crew told a lot of facts about them. Had a swim in the ocean and snacks later, everything was as promised.

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Los Gigantes Clifs Small-Group Sail Tour with Lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.
How much does Los Gigantes Clifs Small-Group Sail Tour with Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $94 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Los Gigantes Clifs Small-Group Sail Tour with Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.
Is Los Gigantes Clifs Small-Group Sail Tour with Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 48 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Los Gigantes Clifs Small-Group Sail Tour with Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Los Gigantes Clifs Small-Group Sail Tour with Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Los Gigantes Clifs Small-Group Sail Tour with Lunch?
+
Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Los Gigantes Clifs Small-Group Sail Tour with Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tenerife?
+
On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tenerife?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tenerife?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
