    A great spring tour

This working lavender farm only has tours during late spring early summer, so plan your trip around it and make sure you stop by for an hour or two. You'll be taking a tour of this farm with one of the owners. There's lots to see and lots to hear about and the tour takes about an hour. It's not that far out of town, and you'll probably want to schedule wine, tasting or olive oil tasting around the same trip. At the very most, you'll spend an hour and a half to two hours there. You, your family, and your car will smell like lavender for days.

    Lovely Lavender Experience!

I enjoyed my experience at Hambly Farms to celebrate a bachelorette party. Gina and Milton have such a charming farm and are so incredibly gracious and welcoming. For $20 each, we were given a basket, a lavender guide, trimming shears and a ring to hold our Lavender cuts. We had full reign to trim lavender anywhere on the farm where there were over 5 types of lavender growing. Milton then provided an overview of the lavender oil distillation process and drying area. He also introduced us to the farm animals for children to pet and enjoy- 2 piglets (Wesley and Buttercup), 6 goats, a kitten, dog, and a flock of chicken! The experience was capped off by a visit to the gift shop where they sell many of their own products. The day was capped by a picnic lunch at the top of the farm with a view of the surrounding area. I cannot recommend a more memorable experience in the Paso Robles area and highly encourage everyone to visit and support the Hambly family!

Response from the operator: Thank you for visiting- we are so happy to hear your experience was more than you expected!! We hope to see you again soon!

How much does Lavender Farm U-Pick Day Pass cost?

    +

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Luis Obispo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Lavender Farm U-Pick Day Pass take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Luis Obispo is not rushed.

Is Lavender Farm U-Pick Day Pass worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". Can I cancel or reschedule Lavender Farm U-Pick Day Pass?

How far in advance should I book Lavender Farm U-Pick Day Pass?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Luis Obispo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Luis Obispo and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in San Luis Obispo?

    +

San Luis Obispo, CA packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in San Luis Obispo by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every San Luis Obispo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Electric Bike Rental in Morro Bay, Guided E-Bike Tour of Morro Bay, Downtown SLO Brunch Food & Drink Walking Tour. When is the best time to visit San Luis Obispo?

    +

Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in San Luis Obispo, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
