What you get
About this experience
Drive Paso Robles yourself, with a GPS audio guide that plays automatically as you go. Your booking unlocks the whole region in the free Wine Trails app: pick your date and starting point — Downtown Paso Robles, Templeton or San Luis Obispo — choose the cellar doors you want from 61 across the region, and the app builds your personal route with turn-by-turn narration. 82 stories cover California's wild west of wine: as you climb Highway 46 West past L'Aventure you'll hear how Stephan Asseo walked away from twenty years in Saint-Emilion because French law would not let him blend Cabernet with Syrah — so he came here and did. No group, no schedule, no guide — pause for a long lunch, replay anything, and the audio keeps working when the signal drops out on Adelaida Road. You'll need a car and a designated driver; tastings are booked and paid directly with the wineries.

Dud
You didn’t need a GPS since all 4 wineries were within a couple of blocks of each other. We expected more of a tour around the area to get to know the history better.
Response from the operator: Hi Alberto! Really appreciate you taking the time, and I want to make sure you get the day you were after. Here's how it works: the tour builds itself from whatever you type in the prompt box, using our Paso Robles winery database, so the more specific you are, the more it tailors to you. The biggest lever is naming what you want. A general prompt like "a lovely wine day" defaults to the most popular, highest-rated spots, which in Paso happen to cluster downtown. But if you tell it the wineries or areas you want, it builds the route around them. For example: "A full day across Paso, include Whalebone and a couple of estates up in the Adelaida hills, then finish on the east side." That'll give you a real drive through the region instead of a downtown stroll. What shapes your tour most: Name specific wineries you want to visit, it'll route to them even if they're further out Call out the areas or vibe, hillside estates vs. downtown, relaxed vs. adventurous Mention wine styles you love (Rhône, Cabernet, Zinfandel…) And since you've got Paso unlocked for good, you can generate as many versions as you like, no limit. Give it another go with a more specific prompt and I think you'll see a completely different day. Tell me what you're after and I'll help you dial in the perfect one.

Great audio tour for going wine tasting at your own pace
Really enjoyed being able to drive my own car and feel like I was on a guided wine tasting tour. I was able to get the rich content that you would normally get from a guided wine tour, but from my own car which was cool. The audio triggers automatically, guiding you turn-by-turn to your next stop. Pretty cool what technology can do.
