Great day, shame about the guide

Lovely all day trip to Santa Cruz, la Laguna, rain forest, taganana and back round to terasitas beach then pick back up at Santa Cruz. Beautiful scenery and the meal at taganana was very good value and lovely food. The guide was informative but a little abrupt.

Response from the operator: Dear trish, thanks a lot for sharing your opinion with the other users. We have been dispensing unforgettable experiences for many years now, and we love our beautiful island and all its amazing spots. Our guides have also been with us for many years, and are very experienced and knowledgeable, but of course they are humans and everybody can have its own personal opinion about them. We hope you’ll choose us again next time you visit Tenerife, we’ve got plenty of activities and excursions to offer. Regards, Elisabetta

    TUI VIP TENERIFE HIGHLIGHTS

This was an interesting trip but we could not call it VIP. We booked this tour through our TUI Rep at the hotel in Costa Adeje. We were picked up from the hotel in a mini-bus and went to a central hub to pick up other passengers or transfer to another mini-bus. We then set off in a convey of three mini-buses with the guide in the first bus providing commentary through the radio system. We travelled up the coast small village heading through the forests and hills to La Laguna. This was a quiet little town with a good indoor market and very quiet streets. It was cold and rainy there, such a contrast to the south of the island. Be prepared and take a jacket. We didn’t unfortunately. We carried on North and East along tiny roads and tracks through the forest and over mountains. Unfortunately, we didn’t see much as it was raining, there was thick cloud everywhere. I would imagine that on clear day it would be beautiful. We went over the hills to a small village with beautiful views and a delightful restaurant El Fronton, where we had lunch (see separate report) which we enjoyed. After lunch we continued down the coast towards Santa Cruz and back to our hotel. This was a good trip but we could not call it VIP. We understand why a regular bus was not used as many of the roads were narrow but to be crammed into a mini-bus, with a commentary through a crackly, loud radio is not much fun. The guide gave us good information but continually tried to make jokes which weren’t really funny. It was really off-putting at times. We know this is a personal opinion and probably other passengers thought differently. If the driver of our mini-bus had been able to give us the information it would have been more personal and much better.

Response from the operator: Dear john2England, Thanks a lot for sharing your opinion on our excursion. We are glad to know that you enjoyed the trip, Tenerife offers beautiful spots that can be more easily appreciated if a guide explains what people are seeing. Obviously guides are persons, and as such they personalize the explanation their own way, and this can be liked or less liked, based on the listener. We hope that we will welcome you again if you come back to Tenerife. Regards, Elisabetta

A must do for culture amid the sunny days

I had a wonderful tour up to the North of the island to see the "real" Tenerife and the unspoilt areas of the place. The bus trip was fantastic , good stops through the roadside though there were big, scary drops if you looked out!! As a truly volcanic island , it has risen from the seabed and has an unusual and dramatic topography !! You won't be disappointed

Response from the operator: Dear gini265, Thanks a lot for your nice words about our excursion. It’s nice to know we are doing a good job and providing true memories that will stay for a lifetime! Do not hesitate to book with us again if you come back to Tenerife! Regards, Elisabetta

    Good guide, but rushed tour

The native guide told quite a lot about the culture and history of Tenerife during this tour, but the lunch reserved for our group (not included in tour price) was below average quality without enough time to really explore Taganana once finished eating. Then the guide's plan was to go to Santa Cruz instead of stop at Las Teresitas for the remainder of the day. This was not according to the description here. I asked the guide to get off and stay at Las Teresitas which she was OK with so I enjoyed it after all, but would have liked more time in both La Laguna and Taganana.

Response from the operator: Dear Sarah, Thanks a lot for sharing your opinion. We’re happy to know that you liked the excursion, but regarding the lunch we must say that customers had the choice to join the group at the restaurant, it was not included in the tour and you could have used that time to explore Taganana instead. Being an organized trip unfortunately we must respect a schedule and that’s why time is limited. Don’t hesitate to contact us again if you want to explore Tenerife. Regards, Elisabetta

    Not worth time or money

The trip was bad from the start, they said since I was in the north part of island I couldn’t get a pickup. Which is fine except they failed to tell me that they did not return to the pick up point so I had to take a cab back there to get my car. No meal included, no entry to tour sites included, La Laguna was a self tour so. Could have done this without paying their fee. We went to a beach which I assume was a bathroom break with no real tour on info. Overall, don’t waste you time on this one.

La Laguna, Taganana, and Las Teresitas Full-Day Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.

How much does La Laguna, Taganana, and Las Teresitas Full-Day Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $34 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does La Laguna, Taganana, and Las Teresitas Full-Day Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.

Is La Laguna, Taganana, and Las Teresitas Full-Day Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule La Laguna, Taganana, and Las Teresitas Full-Day Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is La Laguna, Taganana, and Las Teresitas Full-Day Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book La Laguna, Taganana, and Las Teresitas Full-Day Tour?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does La Laguna, Taganana, and Las Teresitas Full-Day Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tenerife?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tenerife?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tenerife?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
