Nijo Castle
A World Heritage site. Tour the historical castle completed in 1626, which was built to provide lodging for the Tokugawa Shogun and as a palladium for Kyoto Imperial Palace. The impressive, elaborate carvings and decors in the Ninomaru Palace are a must-see. The tour will not enter the Honmaru Palace and Painting Gallery. Kyoto Imperial Palace
See the Kyoto Imperial Palace, which was used as the Emperor's residence until about 150 years ago. On days when the Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed to visitors, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine (disembark for sightseeing) as an alternative destination. This shrine is famous for the god of learning, and its main hall is a designated national treasure. The shrine is especially great to see during the plum blossom and autumn leaf seasons. All day tour, excellent, highly enjoyed.
The 1 day tour is a combination of the morning tour and afternoon tour. We had the same guide, KC, for both halves. We had an excellent time, he was very knowledgeable and the sites visited were all amazing. Nijo castle was excellent, as was fushimi inari shrine.

Loved our day tour of all the temples and the views, scenery. It was more than I imagined!! Momo was a wonderful guide, gave us so much information about everywhere we went. It was raining towards the end of our tour but it honestly added some magic to the atmosphere. 10/10
